would using the below be just as good as c.fix
Post an virusinfo_syscure.zip log using the AVZ tool so we can diagnose the active malware that can't be removed or unknown malware:0 -
Your call
I dont know anything about it:idea:0 -
ok thanks. my pages loading on websites are abit slow pauses abit sometimes. i had this issue b4 i upgraded my ram as i have an 8 year old dell. not sure if downloading malewarebytes etc has slowed it abit?0

Malwarebytes cant possibly slow it down as it only runs when you double click on it (Unless you bought the full version??):idea:0

no i just downloaded the free version. the icon that goes around when the page is loading gets stuck for a few seconds. not all the time though.only just started doing it. so was ok even when i thought i might be infected so one of those things as my comp is a bit old and tempremental sometimes and i guess cause its been on pretty much non stop for the last 15 hrs0

There are a lot of false software on the INTERNET that have you install them then find false positive virus or file errors. Then they direct you to a paid for software to remove or cure your false virus or file error they reported.
Install
Run ccleaner or Advanced systemcare Free from IObit online
Then install and run IObit security 360
And Microsoft Security Essentials
Not the greatest but between them they will clear a lot of your system junk for free!
Then uninstall them or keep them on your system totally up to yourself but always have a good firewall and virus checker running.0 -
I dont think youve been infected
If you feel you might have been then run combofix
Please run COMBOFIX
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
Shut down your anti virus
Follow the simple instructions it gives
Post the COMPLETE log it creates here (Split into sections if need be) ~ if there are loads of 'SNAPSHOT' pages then leave them out
If it comes up with a RENAMING error then RIGHT click the exe file and RENAME and call it QWERTY (Making the complete file name 'QWERTY.exe') Or SAVE as 'QWERTY' on download
(If no log comes up or you lose it, COMBOFIX.TXT can be found in C drive)
i tried downloading combo (i sued DAP but it says i dont have permission access denied and the file cant be saved. i have combo on my comp from a few years ago so clicked on the icon already there but it said microsoft cant find the file. any advice please0
