Thanks chums I feel a bit better and I don't think I'm being hard ,perhaps its time for them to stand on their own 10 feet (there are five of them living next door) I spoke to my DD's ma-in-law tonight and she said the same as the song used to say 'just say no' she thinks they'll get the message in the end.Just off to bed for an early night as I save 'Silk' to watch on catch-up on Saturday night
Good night, God Bless all here

    Evening everyone

I'm late posting again. Been lovely here today. Went out for lunch with ds2 friends mum, had a lovely risotto.

Os today a couple of hours in the garden & a bit of cleaning indoors.

Jackieo - have to say agree with everyone else and your dd mil.
Tiredmum - sending ((hugs)), how old is your ds? Thanks for the pics.
HH - how awful, can't believe some peoples behaviour.
Redruby - that's my thoughts too, but ds1 has ADHD same as ds2 and it's like oil/water when they are together even though there is a 10 year age gap, it's sometimes like walking on eggshells. If he does come think I need to make sure he joins the gym to get rid of his energy.

Sorry can't remember much today. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care

JackieO, I'm with rest of the guys and you really should start saying 'no' to these chancers.

I had a neighbour like this in the last place we lived in. Would just borrow a tenner till Monday. She didn't say which Monday <rolls eyes> So I never used to get those tenners back.

So I moved house and it was bliss. She moved 4 doors down from me <rolls eyes even more> So I kept saying sorry I was skint and she soon got the message. Sh e has actually moved again now :D

DH is sitting on the sofa dozing off. I keep telling him to go to bed but he just keeps saying in a minute and dozing off again. Why the flippin' heck won't he go to bed?

Watching the Tutankamun thing from channel 5 on Sky+, it is fanscinating.

    Oh dear uolypool,

Sorry to hear that. I've never had a dishwasher so am used to doing the washing up by hand but I hope you manage to get your machine fixed soon.

I'll add your thread to the daily thread where we discuss the ups and downs of our Old Style days.

Had a lovely day and enjoyed the better weather. Managed to find a Lidl that was much nearer to us than the one we used to go to in Leeds so that should save diesel, money and time.

DH got a hose for the garden and a few bits and bobs, a couple of big boxes of Daz half price and lots of fruit and veg. It even had an in store bakery so got fresh croissants and rolls which were lovely.

Tea was salad with a roasted chicken thigh, a boiled egg and a couple of home baked snack sausage rolls and a bread bun. Everyone polished it off and no complaints.

Did an order for approved foods this afternoon, mainly lots of soft drinks to hide away till needed, some chocolate. wok noodles, cans of tuna, ketchup, breadcrumbs, cereal bars and Nouvelle toilet rolls.

DH will roll his eyes when box arrives but it saves so much money it is worth it.

    JackieO

I want to join the chorus of disapproval towards your neighbours.

I'd bet my boots the neighbourly behaviour is only one way and that if you wanted anything from them you would get short shrift.

You might want to practice the broken record technique saying "Don't have one - it is broken" or "Sorry I don't have any spare -money- tea - coffee- sugar etc."

    Hug to all
