I've just had mine softmodded with xbmc and a large hard disk, but was under the impression that I'm now going to be banned from xbox live - this might not be the case then?

...moving on from this, does anybody have a copy of dvd2xbox they could point me to as the instructions to get it via irc seem pretty daunting...

I posted a guide to using xploder to softmod in post 234.

Beara: if you had never connected to live before putting the large hd in then you won't be banned. If you used live with the standard 8gig hard drive then you will be banned when/if you connect with the larger HD.

Nobody can really point you to dvd2xbox on a public forum as it is compiled with the microsoft xdk, so isn't legal to distribute.

I was thinking of getting another one, but obviously won't now.

I'm really happy with the deal I got, especially as I used my Nectar points and it didn't cost me a penny! In fact, I walked out with the package and 2p change.

I've softmodded the console and it's now being packed away for a Christmas Present.
