Hi All  Hope you are all well. :grouphug: to those that need it.

I had a really bad night last night, as the dog kept me up. I'm already ill with a UTI so I feel dreadful today, I've been in floods of tears this morning before work. Also going through some difficult times due to lack of money and problems with my OH and his absolute lack of financial understanding.

I just want to crawl back into bed and forget the world exists.

As you tell, I am feeling just a tiny bit sorry for my little self :rotfl:

Don't think I'll bother doing much OSing today apart from meals. I did quite a bit yesterday so I think I deserve a day off! lol

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello: Morning!

Just a quick hello before I dry my hair and go pick up my friend to go to the expert patient programme trial session.

Got to try to fit in a trip to B & Q today to buy a lampshade for the spare room, which I am trying to get ready for Christmas visitors. Also must iron and hang the lovely curtains for the room that I got at the boot sale in Bridgend (only £5 and they are lined and have tie backs, bargain!).

    Happy Birthday Reece! :bdaycake:

Im gonna try the flylady thing though im not sure i completely understand it, but the sink is full of hot water and stardrops and im gonna try it, cant hurt and if it makes me more organised that has to be a plus.

of out shopping tonight, trying to decide wether to go a bit further afield and pick up dds pyjamas today instead of tuesday when im meant to be doing it. got some veggies to buy and some sandwhich meat, cant wait for us to get our meat slicer as i just cant slice it thin enough.

  • Hello Everyone

Happy Birthday to those with Birthdays and hope those who are poorly feel better soon.

So far have only managed to sort out the recycling and do the dishes this morning (including last nights), also tidied kitchen. Have just looked up the recipe for banana muffins as we have some bananas that are looking a little sad so I will use them up.

My good news for today is that I have just received a letter from the Valuation Office advising that our council tax banding has been reviewed and will be going down a band. :T It also looks as though this will be backdated to 1993. I am so over the moon :j . If it had not been for this site I doubt I would have ever thought to challenge the banding. It is a wonderful saving. This has not been the best year for us but it looks as though our luck is changing.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Hi everyone

    Having a quieter day today.

The meal went well and was appreciated.

Doing a load of washing and preparing tonights meal of baked spuds and bacon. It is about to run out on the 27th so will be feasting on it. Silly me forgot to freeze it.:(

I have some leftovers too. My husband liked my sweet potato pie.
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:

WOOHOO! I got a job I'm not going to be unemployed!

I've learnt my lesson, don't throw a hissy fit and quit in the run up to Christmas!

Congrats Mirakl - we'll all pop round later for a celebratory drink :D

Just had a lovely lady come and pick up some freecycle stuff - there's a nice big dent in the pile now - I might finally be able to get organised.......I said might - don't hold me to it.

    Good afternoon everyone! :hello:

A later start for me today as it’s 11+ day here. Children attending the primary school don’t go into school until after the exam is over, so ds didn’t have to be there until 11.20am. It’s become a (not very moneysaving) tradition for the two of us to go out for hot chocolate and muffins before school on 11+ days. :D

Anyway, I’ve got an 'odds and ends' soup in the slow cooker and now I need to get stuck into the housework as I’m back to work tomorrow, and I like to have the house clean and tidy before I start back. Hopefully as there will only be dd and I at home for most of the weekend it might stay that way for a little while longer than usual.

Fac73, welcome to the daily thread!
Michelle, you sound like you’re doing really well with the feeding. Sleep deprivation when you have a new baby is hell.
Mirakl, Congratulations on getting the job!
Happy Birthday Reece and Mr Kyle :bdaycake:

Right, the breadmaker is calling…I’m still so new fangled with it, that when it beeps I feel I have to run to take the loaf out.

I hope you are all having a good day! :)
