Over on the CAG forum a poster is reporting winning a case bought against them by UKCPS (Perkins Vs UKCPS). It was all down to lack of signage.

The reason the case got to court was that the motorist foolishly "appealed" to UKCPS admitting he was the driver. Mr Hasbeen even logged onto the thread and sent a couple of PMs to the OP.

So yet again this points up the vital fact that you do not "appeal" to a PPC, and you do not contact them in any way. If you follow those simple guidelines then they have no way of determining the identity of the driver.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

The thing about dealing with ukcps is to take it off the public forum and deal with it with trusted members of the forum, hasbeen is obviously trying to use forums as a means to discredit people.

Anyway best of luck to the victor ;)
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Lack of signs? You must have been in a different court room!! That was not the issue at all - but never mind keep missleading!

So why did you lose? And do you agree that if you don't know the identity of the driver you can never proceed to court.

could we not report firebard20 as either spam or abuse...not because they are a PPC [it's a free world] but because they post cr4p and then refuse to clarify what they say...despite requests to do so???

I think the PPCs are trying more cases as they hope to get a few 'wins' [due to no shows or foul ups by the defendant] so they can put them in their begging letters.

  • If the PPCs took court action on every ignored begging invoice, I wonder how long it would be before they went bust? Paying out all those costs awarded against them would be quite damaging I think.

Come on PPCs, do the decent thing. Take us all to court if you're so certain you will win....

But you wont will you because you know you will be throwing good money after bad..... losers!

I say leave him be. Yes he is a total t1t but that is par for the course for PPCs. Judging from the thread on CAG he is hoist on his own petard. Let's leave him here, so we can enjoy a good laugh now and then courtesy of his bumbling ways. Apparently he was quoting Thornton v Shoe Lane on signage, a case diametrically opposed to the position he was arguing. You could not make it up and Perky may have a rival for PPC Buffoon of the Year.

The other important thing is to not reveal anywhere, especially online, who the driver is and to not exchange PM's with anyone who is not a long time and trusted member of a forum.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
