Not the OPs home insurance, but the home insurance of the parents of the child potentially will.

That's if the parents even have home insurance.
Unfortunately the parents are not exactly upstanding pillars of the community so I think I will get short shrift when I approach them.

If this were my child, I would pay you, then the child would get a slap and be doing chores around the house until it were paid off! :p

Al depends on the type of parents, doesn't sound to hopeful though.

    Good luck!

Me too, not sure what you were asking....

Please explain where in the UK, a child of thirteen is below age of legal responsibility.

However, I am not sure public liability insurance would cover criminal activity by one of the household.

Hmm....rewarding anti-social behaviour by committing a violent act. That'll be valuable lesson I'm sure. :wall:

Sorry, I meant that the OP could perhaps take some advice by using the legal cover part of his home insurance.

That thought did cross my mind livingthedream.

A violent act? A quick slap across the legs isn't my idea of a violent act and never did me or siblings any harm what so ever. We are all entitled to our opinions though.

Except to recommend others do it. Perhaps the thirteen year old's father thought the same.

I didn't recommend it, i said its what I would do. Maybe the child's father (or Mum) did think the same, how other people raise their children is their business.

How do you think he has turned out then?
