Hi everyone,
I'm feeling a bit bluh today so feel free to ignore me. It's always Fridays when I feel like this - I look back on the week and see just how completely useless I am.
How can I be at home all day everyday and get so little done. How on earth am I going to manage when I have to go back to work in July! House looks like a bomb site - I'm too embarassed to post lists of what I've not managed to achieve. Still haven't managed to find a childminder don't even know where else to look - not going back to work really isn't an option so I need to find one.
It makes me cringe when you talk about HHI - we do have an iron - somewhere, but neither OH or I have used one since we moved in together (six years ago now!)
Must try to get baby to nap and then do something - anything to make it look like I'm getting somewhere

I only manage to do so much as there are only 2 of us, we have a VERY small house and I have spent ages decluttering. You are a mum and that is a full time job in itself so don't put yourself down. July is ages away so don't fret about the flying for then. Why not try to put things away just for 5 minutes? I started my 5 minute decluttering challenges 3 weeks ago because half an hour was boring me and it is amazing what you can do in such a short speace of time. If you manage to go to bed with no washing up, can wipe round the bathroom once a day and empty the bins then I would say that is progress. Just do Pigpen's level 1s for now as I promise it really does get easier. I am sure some of the mums on here will let you know how they get round it. I may be ticking everything off the lists but the house still seems a tip with OHs clutter which he pretends isn't there :rotfl:MFW 2025 No. 7 £1931.07/£2700

Off on my own then which is probably safer. I am going to tackle the stuff under our bed so if I don't return send in the search party :rotfl:
OK, if you haven't checked in by 5pm, they'll be there with the St Bernards and the brandy barrel (other alcoholic beverages are available on request.):D
I will be flying on my return from the Post Office as I need to post an Amazon sale - another item out!
Meanwhile, I will not be available for anything Saturday evening as it is the last 2 episodes of "The Killing". It's a Danish murder mystery that has kept me busy every Saturday for the previous 9 weeks.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Right I am having a break cos my back is killing me from lifting all the stuff from under the bed. At least I know I can pull it out and just vacuum for now, apart from spare bedding there are just a few bits of clothing in there that I love but need to lose a few pounds before I can wear them again!

this week I have done..
The tesco shop I have been putting off for 2 weeks.
I have done 9 loads of washing and got it all hung out.. the last lot has been out 3 days so far
The rubbish/recycling/composting is out.. only because the baby has had the runs and the composting stinks so it has to go out.
I cooked dinner every night.
I whizzed the vacuum over the front room on Monday.. and that's it.. the sum total of my cleaning this week!
I haven't ironed a thing for years.. Actually, I gave my iron away a few months ago.. I dusted it before I handed it over..
I made OH take a binbag of odd socks off me and throw it in the bin because I had had it cluttering the hallway for.. 2 YEARS!!!!

Good afternoon all
JulieJim good luck at the hospital
Lamewolf You are not being unreasonable by expecting to have resonable notice for meeting the people to hand over paperwork and the district manager need to realise that some people with less dedication would have just arranged to have the paperwork sent on to the new volunteers.
I also think that the person who wants to charge you for recovering the chairs has a bit of a cheek. I hope your able to et it sorted without too much fuss.
Scarlettes mum Instead of looking at what you havent achieved remember what you have done, looking after a baby is a big job in its self. Start off small and remeber there are two adults living in your house and OH needs to get involved in the flying as well.

"Let your boat of life be light, pack only what you need- A homely home and simple pleasures, one or two friends worth the name, someone to love and someone who loves you, a cat, a dog, a pipe or two enough to eat, enough to wear and a little more than enough to drink, as thirst is a dangerous thing" Jerome k. Tip run done, been to doctors, lifted meds and cooked lunch. DD's curtains arrived today so i'll see about putting them up next. I might even go and lift the single bed tonight. At least then i can go through her wardrobe and move it into her room. I'll just see how i get on.......
Boys room is a complete tip so they'll be tiding it before they even think of going out to play.
Right where's me curtain track...Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Eeek...where did this week go?
Hope everyone is ok, hugs to you all.
I've not followed lists but i've been busy chucking stuff, cleaning, working and generally not having much time to pop in and say hello. Must try harder!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend xx0
