I was about to copy and paste from bero website when I realised that their quantities were different to the ones in my very old bero book.

    Mine are:
    125g butter
    125g caster sugar
    200g self raising flour
    3 eggs lightly beaten
    100g marmalade

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs with a smidge of flour. Add marmalade and mix. fold in the remaning flour. Bake for 1-1 1/4 hours at GM 4 (180c/350f).

We all enjoyed a slice last night :D

I used a silicone cake tin and found the cake came out easily - no need for soaking and easy to wash:cool:

    Thank you:D
You cant mention cakes or food on here and NOT post the recipe :naughty::p

I have silicon tins, may break them out for the first time in ages:j

    Afternoon all,

Quick catch-up from work. It was a wrench to come in on such a lovely day.
Washing out, plants outside fed, SC on for tonight, Docs appt made at last, list of jobs left with DS who needs to be making himself useful!
Mint my kids, 21 & 18, do their own rooms. I have to cajole, nag, remove their wireless connection etc on occasion, but mostly I just turn a blind eye as long as it's not too bad. It is suprising how clean DS can get his room tho, when his GF is due a visit! :p

Tuesday ~ Master Bedroom & Landing

    Declutter the floor
    Level 2
    Wash windows and nets/curtains
    Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing

    Wipe units and appliances..
    Level Three

Thursday ~ Study or other reception room & bathrooms
    Level One
Clear the clutter from all these rooms!!
    Level Two
    Vacuum the floors
    Wipe down the tiles
    Level Three
declutter and dust the pc desk
Wipe away cup rings and sticky things
wipe the keyboard, mouse, cables and sockets and suchlike.

No kids rooms for me, will be finishing off the above lists, doing a bit in the garden & then spending some time with a good friend who is off to live abroad.

    cheers m'dears!

Oh noes! Hope your cat gets better. What's the special stuff? Does it remove the smell? Where did you get it from? and is it just for cats? Sorry about all the questions...

Edit: Just re-read your post, my questions sound rather idiotic... I read it as the floor being sprayed with special stuff.

Don't worry it is called Johnson's Veterinary Clean n safe. Disinfectant, Cleaner, Deoderant. Bought it at a pet shop. Haven't used it much as you have to leave it on 15 mins to work. It is for Cat's & Kittens (it says on bottle "do not spray on actual animal")

I am trying to use everything up. Under my sink is full of stuff which have bought and hardly ever use. Ha Ha I must do a bin bag dance under there. ;)

Just brought in 10 nearly dry towels. Going to have a :coffee: then sort out tea and collect DS2 from Mad Science.

Carpet men landed here alot earlier than they were suppose thankfully i did have the room empty. So carpet down, one shelf up, just need to put her new light up on the wall now. Then over the next couple of weeks i'll get her new bed and then her wardrobe can go in. I'm hoping her curtains come next week too and then her track can go up.

Livingroom has been cleared and hoovered
    DW been on and unloaded
wm x 2 all out on line
    dry clothes brought in
    kitchen floor brushed
    Rhys's toys put away
DD's stuff moved back into room
    chicken feed got

    Need to do tonight
    bring in clothes off line
    make dinner
    do club runs
    mop kitchen floor
    spent HHC in our room
    get more washing done
    sort clothes for non-uniform tomorrow
    put DD's light up
    get me and Rhys bathed
fill car for tip run tomorrow
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Also did the kitchen and dining room windowsnow its just the kids to do.

I have a 19 year and a 20 year old and both their bedrooms are a tip they have ruined the carpet with makeup and general carp and they are like pig sties with more clothes on the floor than in the wardrobes. Bins seem to be in the wrong place for the rubbish to land in them!!! Both seem to think its fine to live like that and I have got to the stage I give up expecting their “clean up” to be what I would call a clean up. DO I just shut the doors for a few years until they leave or go in and just get the rooms cleaned or carrying on arguing the toss? They will change sheets and towels when I present clean ones and every week on bin day present me with a carrier ofstuff and as long as I ask regularly not too much of my crockery lives with them full time but I would so love their rooms to be CLEAN AND TIDY.
    Sheila

Me too! Haven't found the answer yet either!

Mint1955, as soon as my late sister and myself hit 18 we were told we had to obey the house rules (which included a clean room, own laundry done, helping around the house) OR we could move out to the local YWCA! I stayed, my sister moved out :D
