Hubby has cleaned the car and it has been booked in for service, been shopping and think may have to take my DS2 to A&E this evening, he was playing rugby at college and insists his thumb is broken, doesn't look it to me, just bruised would be my guess, but I have been wrong before as he reminds me (torn cruciate ligaments 6 years ago and I told him to run it off, LOL, wrong once in 19 years and he holds it against me) ;)
Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together. :p

Hmmmm - not great. but the kitchen at least looks good, laundry is all done...last load is in the machine waiting to go on at bedtime :D Until tomorrow :( - its all sitting in neatly folded piles waiting to go to respective rooms and the ironing lady.

I have finally started looking at the filing - properly! Have sorted a couple of bits out that were important for holiday, ie visas etc. have organised travel and accomodation this weekend. Must organise car tax and insurance next! And call my bank about my existing travel insurance! Then i need to sort out airport hotel and parking.

Work is very stressful - it hasnt gone down well that im leaving. I am being ignored by one director and having to put up with his wife huffing and stropping about slamming doors (probably cos shes gonna have to do some work!) - the other two directors want me talk them through the three jobs that i do step by step so they can look at assigning out my tasks, I also need to train up a new person to do one part of the role AND clear my desk before i go - despite the fact theres a huge backlog as i do the jobs of three people as well as PA for two IFAs!!

I dont know how they expect me to fit it all in but hey-ho!

House is starting to fall a bit by the wey-side....

Think i will need to be ruthless and just chuck lots out instead of trying to find the time to ebay/wrap/go to post office! Not very mse i know but I just dont know where im going to find the time or the energy! And it hanging around the house just has a negative effect!

Anyway... best do something before i collapse xxx

I feel like that today, kazwookie :) Looking forward ti the kids bed time tonight.

Dinner decluttered, think I will do lunches for tomorrow now and get it out of the way, then a quick tidy around the kitchen and I'm done for the night....might not be on much tomorrow as my lappy is being seen to - also, my phone couldn't be recovered, so wondering what I am going to do about that :(

Thank you very much to everyone for their advice, it is greatly appreciated.

I have had an upholstery cleaner out for the 3 piece suite and the carpets and it has helped.

I think it may be the curtains, I may well be better off buying new ones as my Mum wasn't convinced that they would 'take' another wash.

The smell is better than what it was.

My property was fully managed, however, because of a dispute with the Letting Agency, the deposit was used to repair my bathroom (tenants decided not to bother reporting a leak), so I have no more m money left after getting my bathroom repaired. Hopefully will get recompense from the Property Ombudsman:)

i'd wash the curtains anyway, see what they come out like, they might be ok.. worth a try before spending more money

    Hello Flyladies!

I've walked to school and work today which is a massive step for me following my leg injection and physiotherapy. It still feels a bit funny but I think I am imagining it:o

DH has dug the wirly gig out of the shed as I usually use the clocks going forward/back as my guide.

DD2 was off school again today - her temp is gone but her tonsils are red and almost touching each other. I'm keeping it under control with Calpol

On the subject of decluttering I'm going to a swishing event tonight. Titter ye not!!!!! It is a clothes swapping party. The trick is to bring home less than you take.

I've not done any flying today other than an hour and half of ironing this afternoon. DH has cleaned the kitchen, mowed the lawn and tidied the MB

Mumto5 wanders off feeling a little faint after reading the above paragraph......

Hugs and sympathy I've got DS3 spiking a temp of just under 103, shivering like anything and with the back of his throat red and ulcerated, tonsils look ok so far. He's been given a parrot and is tucked up in a clean bed, it could be a long night but with DH away at least there is room in our bed if required.

Plan is to tidy kitchen, LR and then maybe some ironing.

    DS1 tidying his room
DS2 revising and then shower and bed

Another day without getting very far with the paperwork.

    Thank you for your wishes!

Gig was great. Went so well, only the string bass player knew I had written the accompaniment for one number myself - the others just assumed that I was reading it from the Ellington leadsheet - yeah, because a leadsheet in treble clef always has a separate fully notated bass part written in invisible ink between the lines, doesn't it? [remembers to smile sweetly and console myself with that one person knows it was all my own work].

Haven't really got much further with the lists. Still just WM, TD & DW mostly. But did plant up a load of troughs after a nice day at the garden centre. Out the front is scented with cowslips and primroses now, and waiting for the tulips to unfurl. At least the house has what they apparently call 'kerb appeal', judging by the comments I overhear from the parents and kids walking to school.

I need to do some housework. But I want to do anything but housework!
