Oh, he's also bitten me a few times in the last couple of days. I thought it was his teeth just hurting (none through yet thankfully!), wonder if that could be related?

biting could be if he doesn't think the milk is coming fast enough and getting cross.

From about 6 months milk is made as they suckle pretty much so it is less likely you will get very very full.

Are you eating and drinking plenty?
It has been a bit warmer so he may need more liquids, be thank water, juice or milk.. Could you make his food a little runnier see if that helps?
Could you offer him water mid feed or just after or extra boob?

We are struggling to keep Squeak hydrated too, she has a poorly tummy and everything is pouring out the other end.. driving me mad but she finally took juice in a beaker today

Hope he's not getting cross, I can't make it any faster!

Are you eating and drinking plenty? I thought I was but maybe not as I am very tired - perhaps a little dehydrated myself?

Not going anywhere near him with my boob mid food, you should see the mess he makes! I could offer him other liquid though. What? Cooled boiled water? Do I need to faff about sterilising?

If you let him play on the floor and use dishes and spoons from the cupboard then why sterilise his beaker.. personally if they put hands and feet and toys and everythingelse in their mouth clean is good enough.. sterilising is a waste of time once they are grotting about. Cooled boiled water is fine... (though Squeak has a dribble of squash in hers cos she hates water.. I only know of 1 baby that drank water)

Also, my boobs are tingling slightly. Not pins and needles like more that thing you get if you've had too much sun.... And as I write this my milk has just come in! Weird goings on

Valli please stop encouraging them! Weather here is mixed - driech but warmer than recently. Getting really jealous of all of you starting to worry/plan the garden. Going to be at least another month before I can do anything out there.

WM/DW on. DH dive kit cluttering up kitchen so can't do much flying in there. Bedroom decluttered - apart from spare curtain pole and curtains I need to e-bay. Now have 4 pairs to de-clutter. Next free weekend here we come.

Re the sterilising, that's what I like to hear :rotfl: does it need to be cooled boiled though or will tap be okay? My DS1 loved water for years, still does! Or maybe he knew from a young age what a tight-wad I am and picked his battles! :rotfl:

  • And anyway, I don't suppose that you sterilse your womanly appendages for baby's breakfast!

It might be that there's just a slight timelag between you at the moment. After all, as he first slept through, you had to get used to not producing so much at night, then he wanted more, and you had to step up production again, then he stops and bites (why? because he has the instinct to do it - and yes, it flamin' hurts when they do it to let you know their first teeth are through), then it's a bit hot so he's thirsty, then it's a bit colder, etc, etc. Maybe you are just adjusting to each other all over again.

(Unlike the others, I haven't done any training, but I did feed mine, the eldest to 9 months)
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
