I've registered a complaint with the Letting company involved (but don't expect to get very far), after that I will register my complaint with the Property Ombudsman.

Also try a cut onion left overnight in the room, it works with paint. For the carpets, try sprinkling bicarb leave overnight then vacuum, as Cyclingyorkie says.

    Evening All

I am loving this week so far, think the weather has made a massive difference for me.
I have been doing lots of other jobs as well as doing some o the lists so am happy happy happy!!
All my washing is done for the week (except DD's bedding which needs to be done tomorrow when shes at school.
I've also cleaned all of the windows inside and half of outside and made a start on clearing out the thick old cobwebs that are there but reallllly need a hose to do this, am too much of a baby to hunt in the garage incase of more spids!
OOOOh I also started writing my toots list out properly - I Love it! Think hubby will be cursing this thread tho lol.

My friend had her baby last night after (about 20hrs in labour) so dropped her DD off once she was home. I'm going to see baby tomorrow Yey!! Then my Mum and lil Sisters came for tea (65 miles each way bless them!!) so not really done much flying this afternoon/evening but DD is off to school tomorrow so have all day.

Thanks so much Nixie I have just wrote in it my diary to look it up tomorrow I had a catalouge the other week and didint even bother looking at it :( (Mind you I didnt know about the spids then lol)
Hope your feeling better and the germs are dying off now :)

Been informed by the neighbours today that spiders aren't the problem in these houses apparantly the beetle problem is terrible in the warmer weather - so bad they cant leave their shoes in the hall otherwise they get full of them urggghhh why didnt the letting agent tell us this one! I'll look into that once I've reppelled the Spids tho

Hope everyone is well, am off to read the rest of the thread befor bed. DD is restless tonight so I may have a visitor in my bed in a bit .

    Night all
    S :)

    Thanks ladies

Babe 6months old and I'm wondering if I'm running out of milk. 3 nights in the last week he has slept through (1st time). 1st night I woke up really engorged, wet sheets etc, 2nd time a little bit this morning not at all. He had a good drink as soon as he woke up and I could hear him swallowing so I know milk's still there but surprised at how quickly it's dropped off. I've also not been able to express the last few times I've tried, or at least there's only been a few drops.

I also think but not sure if he is constipated through not getting enough liquid. Poo feels fairly hard and there's not much of it and this evening when I was getting ready for his bath a piece of poo kept coming out and back in again so I'm guessing he is constipated but he doesn't seem that bothered. I always thought bfed babies didn't need extra drinks and he is nursing as often as usual and I am still feeling my milk come in so I'm not really sure what's going on or what I should do about it

Hi courgette - hope I can help a little

At 6 months your milk supply is well established and your breasts are very efficient at making milk and tailoring the amount you make for the amount your baby asks for. Milk supply will increase or decrease depending on demand over a 6 - 36 hour period (every woman is different) so this maybe why you were very full the first night and less so the second. If he increases feeds at night again your milk supply should increase again very quickly so that should be reassuring for you. Is there is anything in your history to make you feel your milk supply is particularly vulnerable? Lots of mums find it hard to express past the 6 month point - it doesn't really say anything about the milk that is available as babies are much more effective than pumps at getting the milk out.

Has he been having solid foods for long? Sometimes they can get stuck into food very enthusiastically and that will replace milk intake, which at 6 months he should still be on mostly milk really. He may be teething - I've noticed poo changes and biting with both mine with teething - it can be quite common, as well as nappy rashes, red cheeks, dribbling etc etc Again its just a passing phase - although sometimes it feels like it goes on and on.

Lots of people offer water with meals once they have started introducing solids. The advice is to give it in a free-flow beaker or open cup - you might want to check the birth to five website, but I have always just given tap water in a beaker thats gone through the dishwasher - I don't sterilise the food or the bowl it goes in after all and both my babies were crawling at 6-7 months and my floors are never that clean (hence flylady following! - yay brought it back on topic:rotfl:)

It sounds like your baby has very considerately chosen to sleep through a couple of nights and your supply has adjusted well to that - if babe decides to want to feed at night again (inevitable I'm afraid!) then you should be very easily be able to supply that milk again no probs. You might want to start offering water with meals and looking at what he is eating as it shouldn't be too high-fibre at this age. If in doubt give one of the helplines a call. Hope that helps:)
