Hello OS Friends,
Well done on the weight loss JG - that must be a stone or thereabouts xx
Well I have been reading but minimal OS so not posted much this week. We went to C0stco yesterday and spent an absolute fortune but the freezer is now full and we have stocked up on cleaning stuff etc. I hadnt been since before xmas so we were due a major stock up.
We are planting my new Sweet Chestnut tree this afternoon and my raised bed is finished so just waiting for my plants from my dad. He has a huge veg garden so is giving me all my plants and seeds. Im very lucky and very OS!!
Hope you all have a lovely day xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Morning all,
slept in till 8.30 this morning :j have been pottering since, have stripped the bed and its in the wm, will hang it out once its finished.
Yesterday we went to a local cafe that wanted waitresses, and had a nice lunch out, but dd would not ask, I think her experience last week has scared hershe thinks all work will be like that, what a cow that woman was , I keep reassuring dd, so will hopefully get there
We passed a fish stand on the seafront, and OH and I treated ourselves to 6 scallops, they were huge, but 98p each :eek:caught that morning, they were delish and so fresh, will get some more once we have saved up :rotfl:
Today I think we might go walking, with a picnic, its too nice to be indoors.
Dinner today will be a chicken curry and rice we will have our roast tomorrow as dd is seeing her dad today, and they normally have lunch out, and she never fancies a roast after, but she looks forward to one on a monday.
OK better get on, have good days all xx0 -
Flutterbyuk your dress looks lovely, have a good evening.
Was hoping to get into the garden and DH wanted to continue building the new office but its bloomin raining. That horrible fine stuff:mad: oh well hope it will have stopped after breakfast. But I did dry all the washing yesterday.
Dinner tonight will be a recipe with roasted veg ,beetroot and halloumi with roasted chicken, sounds a bit odd but looks good and I can have it:D
Might try and get to Hobbycr@ft today as I have run out of wool.
Our seeds continue to peep through on the windowsill. Very excited about our new raspberry bush but don't know if it will fruit the first year.

Redruby it is terrible that your dd has been frightened by that horrible woman. I hope she gets her conficence back soon, it is such a precious attitide. Hopefully she will realise that the world is full of all sorts of people and many are kind and generous.

morning all
These TWINKS sound nice - is there a link to a recipe somewhere that one of you could point me to please?
Lovely day yesterday, mooching around in the sunshine. tackled the ironing, which was was bigger than me, and did some garden planning with DH.
was up at 5.30 this morning, still don't know how i did that, and went carbooting. got a nice pair of jeans £2 and 2 dvds for £1 each. that my little treat for the week! needed the jeans as I fell over in the road 2 weeks ago, and ripped my favourite ones - and not in a cool trendy way either! Will cut them off in to long shorts for the summer, so all is not lost. make do and mend!
DD has a netball match this morning, so am being mums taxi/cheerleader, then cooking fish and chips for lunch, as I couldn't find a nice looking joint of meat in the supermarket on friday, and ran out of time to go elsewhere.
house stayed tidy yesterday, (and am thinking I might have to join the flylady thread this week, or at least use the plan to keep my weekends free-er) looking forward to a lazy snooze on the sofa later.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone x0 -
Morning All
A bit dull here but at least it is dry
I have the last load in the washing machine and hopefully it will dry outside - I got loads dried on the line yesterday and it smells so much fresher.
This time next week we will be in British Summertime so will probably get some rain
I am behind with planting this year as well so I am planning to get all of my seeds planted today.
Dinner is pork chops for DH and DS and some lamb chump chops for me.
Well must get cracking
BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
