I HATE it when I hear 'same difference' when talking about ONE subject/object/equation etc etc etc. If that makes sense lol.

I am fine with people writing LOL, but NOT when they've SAID it.
I can't stand text talking on mobiles/emails etc. I understand if you've got ONE txt left and are trying to fit it all on, but still, it's annoying!

'coolies'.....and I've been saying the damned thing lol, so I REALLY hate it now.
'baby' - why would someone say to their wife, I love you baby.....it would be weird to say 'I love you toddler/preteen/OAP' etc haha.
 Thank you to everyone!

'There is no 'I' in Team'.....but there is 'ME' haha. Think that was on TV, but I've loved that response

Don't walk behind me; I may not lead. Don't walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend...

'What are your opening times?'.......'9 WHILE 5'

'Can I please LEND that from you?'......don't you mean 'Can I please BORROW that from you?'

And one I keep saying :(........'HOW DO?' instead of 'How do you do'
ACTUALLY, don't you think 'How do you do' sounds a bit weird too?

    Best quote in this thread.

To which I couldn't resist pointing out that there is indeed an 'I' in 'UNIT'!

As others have said "at the end of the day..." really bugs me for some reason.

When I worked and we had a training or brainstorming session, the Trainer would always say "shout it out, there's no such thing as a stupid idea".

"If I had my time over again" (although I am guilty of using this one to my shame).

    "We're all in this together"

    "Think of the children"

"What if.......?". This is generally used in conjunction with the "think of the children" phrase. Something exploded, no children present but what if there had have been. Think of the children! Aaaaaaaaarrrrgh!!!

..OK, how about we all go home early?

I'm most sorry that you have taken offence to any of the comments in this thread, I certainly don't believe that it was any one poster's intention to do so. The thread (as far as was I was concerned) was a light-hearted, tongue in cheek rant about those little buzz words and phrases that are commonly used, or over used (more to the point), particularly within our working environment, which annoy some people, but don't bother others.

I too came across a few that I am certainly guilty of, but that just made me LOL even more. No particular post has poked fun at any person suffering with Dyslexia or any other such learning disability, and I think it somewhat unfair to suggest so.

I hope that you can take the thread in the context it was intended, and not as a personal attack on any individual or group.
Cross-purposes I feel, just as I was trying to say & it was not my intention to cause a ruck either :o Please accept my apologies & I promise to get someone else to read my musings before clicking 'send' in future :p

I too, have to admit to some of these little ditties & will further confess to being a catch-phrase junkie...If only everything in Life was so seempulls innit!
