Are you asking for Old Style christmas presents?

  • I've asked for some napkins, nothing fancy, just everyday ones. My thinking is that if we have some napkins knocking around the kitchen it might cut down on the amount of kitchen roll that gets used.

  • I've asked for a Panasonic breadmaker after reading the fab reviews on here, so fingers crossed he takes notice :D
  • I have asked for an Axe!!! My Ex has said she will buy me one so long as it is very sharp! I was going to save for a holiday but have just returned from a week in Prague and managed to get there and back and have a week "one down from Charles Bridge" for £100 so well chuffed and consider it a present to myself.

Nothing OS here- I'm getting an mp4 player and some boots (which my mother-in-law wishes she'd ordered for herself). OH said anything OS comes out of the normal budget :)
    Purple Penguin Power!
  • I'm getting a mincer/sausage stuffer. i have also dropped huge hints about a dehydrator but don't know if that will appear.
Caught OH sneaking in with a nina ricci gift bag last week so looks like some non os goodies also on my xmas list.;)

I don't know what to get, any ideas? My boyfriend never gets me anything so no luck there! However my mum still gets me a big pressie (i'm only young!) I'm thinking a coat, the one I got in the sales three years ago (£250 reduced to £45!) has holes everywhere! I guess I could sew it up but I have no other ideas.

Well I've asked for a steamer (or vouchers towards one :D )

I'm also thinking I'll ask for a stick blender.

A copy of 'Thrifty Ways For Modern Days ' wouldn't go a miss either.

I'll have to wait and see. ;)

The most OS thing i've asked for is a kitchen timer on a neck string 'cos I keep forgetting I've got stuff in the AGA and burning it :) which is NOT VERY OS!!!! I do HAVE a timer but if I leave it in the kitchen I can't hear it in the rest of the house - failing that perhaps I could have my marbles back :rotfl:

This might have to be my christmas present to me.....:p nobody seems to realise how useful it would be....
  • Every year Mr Rage and I do "a foot of books" - we go to the same charity shop at the same time (apart from the ones I've already got from library sales - he he he!!!) and get each other some books to read. The stack must be no higher than 12" - although it may be revised this year to slightly higher as all our books tend to be thick ones - and we wrap them and then when we've read them give them to the charity shop of our choice. It started out as a joke one year when we were realllllllly skint but since then we've kept it up as a reminder. I announced last night that I think this year's festivities will cost us a total of £200 - presents (includes jewellry - thank heavens for QVCs last clicks prices), food, postage for my many overseas friends and socialising and given that one section of Mr Rage's family are a tad materialistic I think that's quite good. Our nephew will be 9 months so I have suggested to the parents buying a tree in his name or something from the Oxfam unwrapped - but there's been silence on that front. Probably wanted something flash from baby gap......:rotfl: My list consists of a couple of DVDs that are about £6 each, a jigsaw puzzle, some coloured/scented ink for my fountain pen and maybe some socks. We also do a christmas stocking each year which has toiletries or edibles in. The budgies will be getting their usual new toy which they will ignore until February :rotfl: Mainly though I'd just like some of the jobs around the house done- is that OS enough????:D
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

Sigh! You and me both..... I'd love that more than ANYTHING!!! (Especially the bathroom that I stripped for DH to decorate in October 2005  We have all the materials  just no time!!!)

BTW I love the "Foot of books" Idea....I may borrow that myself for next year if I may ;) I've got DH two pre-owned books myself this year, but probably only about three inches LOL!

    Regards

    Kate
