ladymacbeth_uk wrote:Well myself and OH decided to put money aside, so instead of buying each other expensive presents, that we could have a wee break away together in New Year. We're heading off on Jan 26th for a long weekend - managed to get flights for £1!!!!!!!!
Other than that we're gonna fill a small stocking for each other with silly, inexpensive gifts, just to have something to open with dinner

We did something similar except we bought a sideboard/dresser instead of a minibreak. Seemed better to do something big and constructive rather than buying little bits of clutter.0 -
I've got a book about herbs and different presents you can make with them. I know that for sure because I bought if after my herbal course and told OH to put it away for me!!!
I did ask my sister for a muffin tray but I think she thought that I was being a bit of a sad old git so I expect I'll get something different!

I've asked for money towards that posh Panasonic breadmaker, but the response I got was not good.
My mum gave me her breadmaker when we moved out, but I have no idea where's it gone. I claim it's in her loft, she claims it's in mine, blah blah blah.
So all I got was a load of earache really!
