Happy :bdaycake: Birthday tru hope you get spoilt rotten
afternoon chums just got back from Faversham where I ordered my new car (won't get it until June) and had a coffee with my sis-in-law.I'm just going to 'potter' a bit this afternoon, probably start the knitting of 'teddy's trousers' for my DGS Mikey that I have been promising for weeks.Apart from that not a lot to report. Will have to play 'freezer roulettte' for dinner tonight, not very hungry at the moment so I am just going to have a cuppa and a couple of rich tea biscuits.Hope everyone is having a good day, weather very foggy here in north Kent at the moment and not very warm either so I may have to put the heating on for a little while to warm up a bit
Take care everyone

Afternoon all,& a very Happy Birthday to Tru ,
Thank you for the congrats last night on me becoming a granny to be
Camelot,I was itching to say something when you posted your news the other week,:rotfl:but thought better not.Kazzaw,if we're going to have a grannies in waiting club, can I look like Lulu please? I was reading an article in GH about go getter grannies, they all looked pretty glam to be honest, but she looks fantastic for her age and her DG is adorable.I'd need a serious makeover:rotfl:
DS2 has had his MRI scan-results in 2 weeks approx.I went down to town with him and nipped on the market while he was having it done.I bought a lovely ham shank so we'll have that tomorrow, and 4m of fabric from my fabric man-he was having a sale so it only cost £2.I am making some portable changing mats as DNiece would like one.
Hester-hope your tent disappears.Enjoy your gardening.
Gintot & Meanmarie, thinking of you and your relatives in Japan( and everyone there )
Silvermaid, thanks for the recipe for CC Chinese chicken,I may do that tonight

JulieGeorgiana I had a bit of a melt down last night, I had awful toothache and took some strong painkillers, I dreamt I ate pastry, pies mash and all sorts of high carbs:rotfl:luckily it was only a dream and I am back to normal LGI today:T
Well that's willpower I do say!!! I would have woken up and just ate them anyway! I hope you feel better soon xbargainbird wrote: »JulieG - I have psoriasis too, what do you use ?
Betamethasone, it's horrible!
I've been using it since I was 16 because nothing else helps... last time I tried coming off it my hair fell out!!! It's grown back funny and after a year I am still upset about it all!!!
I hate taking steriod, but what can you do... without it my scalp bleeds, and my ears start splitting... just the most horrific condidtion!
I used to use herbal oils... almond oil, with teatree and lavander... used to be a big help in the past!We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. Afternoon all,
Sunny here to-day, not even very cold, have put some clothes out, will leave them overnight as it seems to make them extra fresh.
Happy birthday tru....have a good one.
Ginto...glad that your DD and DSIL have moved further away from trouble, find it difficult to watch tv footage, so sad and so difficult to do anything for the unfortunates caught up in whole thing.
Dinner to-day will be pork chops with mash and red cabbage....must get that on soon as it takes ages to cook and I haven't even got it from garden yet...will shred it finely and cook with onion, vinegar, raisins, brown sugar and some dried apples...usually nice that way....might put in some wild garlic too as mine is flying this year.
Have eventually posted requested knitted cowl and skirt to Dgds in London....cost me €4.85 so I think that they will get things when they come or I go over in future!
Lettuce doing well in greenhouse, also tomatoes and leeks, need to put in some butternut squash as it is one of my favourite vegs...more tomatoes too.
Taplady.....watch that dieting....how lovely of OH to notice, mine wouldn't notice if I were 6 or 16 stone I don't think!
DD4 off to Clare to-day to be bridesmaid at a wedding...she had her tan done yesterday evening, saw her a couple of hours later and she was quite dark.....had a text this morning and she swears that she is colour of an orangutan so that will be pretty if it doesn't fade a bit before to-morrow!
Really need to cut back as want to be able to continue to travel and want to visit Oz again next year...have never been to Perth and would like to take the chance while DD3 is there...OH reckons he is not going that far to swelter in a city, says he wants to go to outback....might lose him there deliberately if he is difficult....he hates the getting to places of travelling....airports, delays, connections etc and becomes even more bl**dy impossible than usual!
Hugs to all who are in need of one for any reason

Afternoon!
I am sorry, but I need to moan! More bl00dy snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AND its really heavy AND its lying AND MY OH IS A PAIN IN THE **** I called him to say come home early as the snow is really bad, and I don't want you driving home at nine o'clock tonight, got a sarcastic reply that its eight o'clock he comes home, which started a bicker and he hung up the phone on me! That's what I get for showing concern. Flaming men.
Hester hope the tent is like one of those pop up ones, and disappears soon
Happy Birthday Tru, hope you are having a good day
Dinner tonight is pasties for the OH and boys which I am about to make shortly and I am having courgette "pasta" with garlic cream sauce.

Afternoon all
Happy birthday Tru
jackieG - can't belive you have snow, it's been a beautiful sunny day here!
Gintot - glad DD and family are ok
Well I went back to work today
I'll be eprfectly honest, the first hour or 2 I felt rough, but by 11am I was fine and really enjoyed ebing back
my kids had missed me and I got a cheer and hugs when I walked in :A. Luckily I had colleagues to help me out as I wouldn't have coped on my own all day. By 3pm I was flagging so gave them an early finish and called it a day. The travel up was ok, but felt sick coming back.
Exhausted now so going for a nap. Will post later

Happy Birthday Tru!
This walking to work malarky is exhuasting me!! Didnt manage to walk the dog today...but after dragging him here there and everywhere over the weekend i think he was a bit relieved i gave his paws a rest today!!
We are down to our last £6 for the month!! again!! i know, but this time it's in an attempt to teach OH the skill of BUDGETING! I bought in enough food and froze it so we're fine and dandy there and walking to work is getting me fit too, so now OH has no money for fags or beer he might start to realise that he needs to think ahead before going to the pub and spending all his money in one evening!!
Chilli for dinner tonight and probably tomorrow too OH is working late so eating alone
Hope everyone is okay.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Wanted to wish Bitsy a belated birthday and to wish Tru Many Happy Returns for the Day.
Ok I made Chinese Chicken. It was nice but not very "chines y" so not sure if I will make it again. However it was lovely and moist and very cheap! Smelt nicer than it tasted IYKWIM?
Had a nice day today. Went out with Mooloo to Cath Kidston second shop. Moo got loads of ideas:T:T:T Blood transfusion tomorrow and they have the blood in so will be resembling a vampire. Hugs xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
