    Morning All

    Happy Birthday Tru:beer:
Ginto- so glad your family are ok. Its a worry when they are far away without everything thats going on in Japan (((hugs)))
Silvermaid thanks for the recipe, will definitely give it a try
Tigerfeet I feel your pain, its bad enough changing bedding without having to do it all again
JulieGeorgiana I had a bit of a melt down last night, I had awful toothache and took some strong painkillers, I dreamt I ate pastry, pies mash and all sorts of high carbs:rotfl:luckily it was only a dream and I am back to normal LGI today:T

Will have to give in and go to the dentist as this toothache is not going away, I hate it and can't afford it but needs must:(

Need to pop into town today and nip on the bank and post office. Going to visit mum over in Yorkshire for tea. Wouldn't normally go mid week as its about an hour and a half to Rotherham but she needs her e tickets as she is off to Oz to visit my brother. She will make tea so no cooking today:D

Trying to pin DH down to look at our budget as we need to be more on top of things but he hates doing this and avoids it at all costs:mad:

My blanket is looking really big, its the biggest thing I have ever crochet iykwim:p

Going to stop weighing myself every day as it is disheartening when the scales don't move. I need to start weighing weekly

Anyway enough waffle, off for a shower, have good days peeps x

Thanks Julie. It doesn't help that he is in a high sleeper so I am scrambling around up in the gods to make the damn thing.

    morning!

off to work this afternoon. Foggy here but supposed to brighen up later so am risking hanging the washing out.

Have had a quick tidy up and changed our bedding. DH and DS will have freezer suprise for their tea, mine is Veggie curry out of the freezer that I'm taking to work.

Work is thinking of taking the food budget down yet again. Its gone from £230.00 to £200.00 but they want it to £150.00 eventually which is asking a bit much when it needs to feed abut 10 people per meal on average. Food is a major part of the service users lives - they dont have a great deal else so I'm really hoping we can keep giving them something tasty and interesting to eat.
I'm usually left with the task of doing the menus and shopping with a little help from the others. Good job I'm a savvy shopper;)

DH had a little chat to me last night - he's worried about me being obsessed with my weight. I have to admit it is getting like that, its a hard circle to get out of - I've been dieting for about 4 years now and its hard to get a balance really so that I stop at a good weight. I've recently lost another half a stone without really trying so am now well under my target weight. I'm not a size zero just yet though:D so I'm trying to eat a little more but I cant get out of the habit of jumping on the scales every morning yet.

Gintot - so glad your DD is ok, I'd be so worried too if it was one of mine x x

    Happy Birthday Tru:bdaycake:

hope you all have a great day x x x

    Morning all!

Happy birthday Tru! Hope you have a fab day xxx

Sun is shining again, and I have a day off! Flooring beckons though, so will be taking a trip to B&Q to get some stuff, also need a couple of replacement tiles for ones that we've cracked in the kitchen, so would be good to have a spare pack for the future!

The joy of posting on here is that I feel compelled to actually do something, so have S&S the kitchen, hoovered downstairs and the stairs (why does pet hair accumulate in the corners of the steps?), unloaded and loaded the DW, sorted some washing, mopped the floors, tidied the sitting room, wiped surfaces in the sitting room, and thrown the smelly cats out so they can enjoy the nice weather! Still need to sort out the gruesome utility, I need a good dose of bleach in there I think, and I've run out, so will get some when I go out!

Lunches today were ham sarnies, cupcakes, fruit and yoghurt.

Dinner will be gammon, leeks and roasties with cheese sauce - other veg to be decided according to what needs using first! I shall have a veg something!

Oh, trip to see the consultant went well. Apparently current thinking and advice is to not induce babies unless there's a medical emergency, but he also doesn't want me to have the babe when I'm on my own (all my labours have been very fast, last one was less than 15mins from me waking up with a sore tum to sitting in the bath with dd3!), so I'm going to be checked by my midwife at 38 weeks for signs of incipient labour (though somehow I suspect I might notice if I was in labour!), and then the plan is to go into hosp at 39 weeks, be checked again and if all okay they will induce me! Of course that's all assuming spud doesn't decide to arrive early lol! Just grateful they didn't want to do a caesarian.

Time for a read through then really must shower and dress! Have a good day all xx

Was offered a holiday in Tenerife last night for £49 for the 4 of us!!! Had to pay for our flights on top, and also would have to sit through a presentation where they try and sell us one of their holiday appartments! Was very keen, but then looked into it a bit more and realised that the cost of their appartments is so high that I would feel guilty taking the holiday knowing that I wouldn't be in the slightest bit interested. Although really want to have some SUN!!!!

Someone I used to work with went to one of those "presentations" whilst she was already on holiday in Tenerife.......it's not just a presentation, they were locked in the room for around 6 hours :eek: The company did pretty much all they could to stop people leaving - they don't give away cheap hols without wanting something in return.

Tru - HSstars.gif Happy birthday me old mucker, have a lovely day xx

    Morning my lovelies :D

Had a lovely birthday yesterday, even minded children were collected early by lucky chance so had an unexpected bonus of finishing work early :D

Haven't organised any thing for tea yet, have made a list of aims and one of those is to use the SC more. I am not even using it once a week, oh the shame of it :o however unless I get more organised in the evening that's not going to happen :o

Hmmm also said I would seek out and try some more recipes so ChocClaires chicken one sounds like a nice plan :D

Heading off to a craft centre with my mum this morning so will spend this afternoon playing catch up on what I didn't do housework wise yesterday.

Hester - honestly so people are soooo childish, good for you for not pandering to her. I hope you point out she has no "entitlement" ;)

Gintot -Hugs for you, can see why you're so worried. It's awful what's happening over there :( xxx

DD is throwing a strop as she wants to sit on my lap <sigh> try and check back in later.....
Hugs, spoons and high fives all round Have a good day OS Or not

Good Morning All! Greyish here so washing still waiting to go out.
Happy Birthday to Tru - hope you have a lovely day.
Mummysaver - one of the ladies at church gave birth to baby no.3 literally in the street, clutching the railings for support, as he came so quickly! She's just had no.4, but she arrived at home with 15 minutes warning!
Tigerfeet -very frustrating! I remember with loathing having to make bunk beda when mine were small - the top was hard to reach and I was always banging my head with the lower one. Hope your DS is recovering now.
Hester -cannot believe the cheek of your colleague! How can anyone be "entitled" to a wedding invitation??? Dearie me! It's bad enough when distant family members feel slighted if they're not invited, but aquaintances??? She needs to get real!
Have just read out the recipe for Chinese chicken to DH - he wants to know whether you use red or white wine?? Sounds as if he thinks it might be something to try later this week!
Today is my really busy one -tutoring from 3.30 -6.30, followed by my course from 7.30 to 9.30. Tomorrow will be just as bad with tutoring followed by a meeting. Roll on Thursday!
Went to Curves yesterday having not been since mid January. May be thinking of cancelling my membership unless I can get back into going regularly within the next few weeks. I don't think it helps with weightloss, but it does improve my fitness level. I am so unfit now. I get breathless far too easily.
Oh well, best get on with something useful I think. Hope you all enjoy today. Take care of yourselves.

    Think twice before spending anything!

    Morning all!
Days off today and tomorrow, so house to tidy and washing mountain to climb. Snowing again today, so house will resemble chinese laundry once again, ho hum!
Better get WM reloaded and see if mum needs any shopping done, see you all later!

gintot - glad your dd and extended family are safe xx

beemuzed - I shan't be leaving the house in the fortnight before spud's arrival lol! xx Just read a post by chocclare, apparently red or white works equally well and makes no diff to the final taste. Seems a few people have tried it cold too, so I'm going to be making it in the summer as well to go with salads, ideal, simple, cheap and no effort!

Bitsy - my SC is about to have a gammon joint chucked in it - nice and easy! Does dinner and provides sarnies, what more could I ask! xx
