struggling...seriously considering suicide

  • Just adding my support - don't do anything silly and try to keep calm and I'm sure everything will be fine in the future. It's only money and whilst it seems like an overwhelming thing now, things can only get better and better.

Take care and i wish you all the best

Nothing is worth suicide - your partner would rather have you alive than dead, as would so many other people who know you.

    Good luck

Lots of good replies here. This one stuck out for me.

You will get through this. There are plenty of knowledgeable and helpful people here who can and will help and support you through your debt situation.

Keep talking to us, tell us more about your situation and if you feel up to it, do a SOA and perhaps we can help you more.

Sorry to hear you're feeling this way, i also want to add my support too.

Please don't do anything drastic, there is always a way to sort these things out. There are many many brilliant people on here who have some truly great words of wisdom. Take a step back and take some of the advice given above.

    Sending love and hugs

Here to offer help and advice, and maybe take a little in return.

Whilst I am happy to share my knowledge, I am in no way a professional... I can not therefore accept responsibility for inaccurate info, I ask that you take professional advice rather than rely totally the info provided by myself
  • I felt like you over my debts but there is help out there, Ive found it and its there for you as well, come on here if you have anything to ask or if you need comfort and reassuring words. Try and tell your husband, or ring the Samaritans. Sending you lots of hugs and love, it will get better I promise.

I totally understand that feeling of being overwhelmed and wanting it all to go away. I have been there as I'm sure many on this forum have, but suicide is permanent, there's no going back.

Please ask your Dr for help (I saw your other post), and consider telling your partner. Once you take control of the debts even if it means a long haul of repayments you will feel better. When I came on here, I was very low, and although my circumstances haven't changed, I have, and the feeling of control is a good one. There are many reasons why we overspend, counselling may well be very helpful for you.

I do think you need to talk to someone like your DR and explain just how bad you feel.

Keep posting... people who are wiser than me and who have lots of practical advice and are generous with their support, will help support you.

I owe out approx 50 to 60k and to be honest I know at the rate I am paying it back it is going to take me approx 17-20 years and was in a very low place at one point, please take note of what others have said and remember it is only money and the company's who you owe to cannot do anything to you barring a ccj and that said just work out your full income and expenditure and be realistic as to what you can pay back at any given time.

I now look at the situation with a different view and do not let it bother me anymore, please do the same and you can work it out, remember honesty is the best policy.
