I laugh when somebody says something like the above. You are all so self righteous in UK. I suppose I used to be before I came here.

In life I do not like people commenting on things they have no experience with. It's silly. Like when people say ' Oh I wouldn't touch Jordan or some page 3 girl with a barge pole'
In reality you wouldn't get the chance. She wouldn't look at you so your comments are worthless. Now if she did then she could have you in 10 seconds. Same as Thai prostitutes. They are sexy. 40 kilo's touch, long hair, nice legs and act in a way men can relate to.

That's the thing that gripes me on these boards. People with no savings or any chance of buying a house make this stupid comments like 'prices will crash 90%'.



You have never been to Thailand as a single bloke. You are probably married and will never have the chance as well. If you did ever come here, like most people you would fall in love and marry one. Why? We all put our trousers on the same way every morning.

If you are ever in a position to be able to sleep with really attractive women you will do it. The only reason you are going to reply with a load of stupid comments now is the fact that nobody wants to sleep with you in UK.

Just look at the lengths blokes in UK go to just to have sex. I know married men who join dating sites pretending to be single. Blokes who go to nightclubs every week trying to pull. Women are the same. They get drunk, meet some bloke and shag them.
Why is it different here? The morals in UK are just as bad as here.

I used to work for a real nasty bit of work. He was the kind of guy the bears detest. Bloke had about 10 BTL properties and you just know he was landlord from hell. Bloke had loads of dough.

Every week he would turn up with a really beautiful girl he had met in some West London nightclub or bar.
Now I'm not 50, fat with a dodgy tash. He is though.

How was it he could pull these classy chicks? Money.

It makes the world go around.

If you are truly happy then good luck to you. For me, I live my life with one thing in mind. You can speculate on house prices, interest rates and how much your savings will be worth. There is only one guarantee in life.

One day you will be on a bed listening to a bleeping sound that will stop. We die.

Just about that time you will be thinking ' Well, what was my life like? Was it special in any way?'

I never had money. I didn't come from a rich family or anything. Only went to a rough school so didn't get mega education. Only standard. Started working in a sweet factory when I left school.

After a while managed to get an apprenticeship and learnt a trade.

I tried the normal life and decided it was boring. Left UK and went to work in Europe. After 10 years of that managed to get job here.

It's been quite a ride.

I can't say it's any better or I'm happier than the bloke who got married and lives UK style with his wife.

I just did it my way. :rotfl:

I don’t particularly like to see this kind of semi-personal criticism of Sibley. His Thai expat lifestyle would very emphatically not be my cup of tea but if it’s his then what’s the problem?
Many of his views on pwoperdee are over-simplistic, highly biased, nonsense, but there’s a definite thread of good humour, decency, & humility, through much of what he writes on here.

I have to say with head bowed with shame i agree, when i took the p*** out of Sibley it was done with the attitude of "he who lives by the sword dies by the sword". The old saying of two wrongs do not make a right is very apt for my behaviour.

I was going to later make the point to Sibley about him saying that some people were just being ignorant and not understanding, true or not i found that a bit rich coming from him.

But anyway, you are right in the point you are making, and i hold in shame for taking easy shots.:embarasse
