"much of Chris Busby's work is self-published and difficult to access; he seems mainly to avoid publication in the recognised scientific literature, which presents difficulties for a proper review of the evidence underlying his conclusions.".[

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Busby

    Busby’s CV exposed
Although superficially impressive to the gullible and the naive, his CV conveys a facade of scientific respectability that is built on sand. Here are some key points:
    (1) BSc Chemistry (London), PhD Chemical Physics (Kent). Failed to complete his first PhD project – an early indication of his intellectual shortcomings.

Busby would have you believe that almost every scientist and doctor in the world is incompetent, involved in a gigantic cover-up, or complacent about the health of their families and friends. Read on and see if YOU believe him….

I however tend to believe those who say you can not say how many deaths were caused by Chernobyl but it will be certainly more than 4000.

Why will it CERTAINLY be more than 4000?

How many will it be - you mentioned 25m?

Please include widely PEER reviewed articles and evidence, not the rantings of a bloke who failed to complete his first PHD, and who no doubt enjoys Thailand as a holiday destination.;)

Until then I think Dr Busby is about the best source, unless any one thinks otherwise?

    hmm. "best source"?

personally i try to seek information from a wide range of diversified sources. typically, i devote only 2-5% of my reading time into contraversial fringe views.

rather like a diversified investment strategy really.

ahh, i see what's happened here.

As per your usual nonsensical arguments.

it's interesting the whole reliable sources vs. alternative sources. the majority of humans will go for the familiar / follow the herd path. this probably prevents eating the poison berries or getting picked off by wolves and will be the best / most reliable survival strategy the majority of the time. it can however lead to you sinking with the titanic or starving from berry famine when there are perfectly good nuts on the tree next door.

every so often the risk takers and outsiders are the ones whose strategy pays off. however for every abramovich there are a thousand mafiosos with a bullet through the head.

personally i quite like nutcase blogs and conspiracy theorists. i certainly like minority views. it's also important to examine the message and not be fooled by the messenger.

it is perfectly plausible there is a considerable cover up going on over some of the events at fukushima. history has revealed that this is precisely the sort of crisis event at which such cover ups occur.

I'm starting to feel really sorry for Poshbird / smeagold / whatever.

It's awful watching someone get such an intellectual mauling and be exposed as so one-dimensional in their thinking, avoiding dealing with credible refutations and clinging to completely bogus sources.

Who needs to go as far as next door?
We have our own nut in this forum. He might change his [STRIKE]name[/STRIKE] flavour every now and again but is still unmistakably a nut.

    I think it's quite entertaining.

I love reading the posts of "experts" in these subjects.

It always amazes me how a website such as MSE has so many "experts" in Nuclear Meltdowns

I just love the Intergoogle :D
