    yet people relate to the lowest common denominator of whacky.

    Call me whacky but I am generally good at spotting PR, spin & deliberate omissions.

    Then I ask myself what reasons could there possibly be for the PR, spin & deliberate omissions & 99% (+/- 0.9%) of the time I come to the right conclusion.

    Wacky or what?

    and of course it's an established scientific fact that coal fired power stations spread a nice fine cloud of uranium over the surrounding countryside

    this fact is not covered up so I'm reluctant to believe it

    I'm not a PhD or a failed PhD so I hope that enhances my credibility

    Maybe new recession for Japan. I don´t know exactly, but from my point of view many economic factors indicate lower credit of Japan. On the other hand, I assume these current problems of Japan don´t present long lasting dimension. I hope so.

    yes, but since only 0.75% of unrefined uranium is radioactive, this isn't really a big problem.

    a googlecheck suggests that the increased exposure to radioactivity of people living near a coal fired power station is 0.5% of the annual background radiation that will be exposed to. not particularly worrying.

    Who said 25M? Where did that come from?

    I said as many experts say, its very hard to guess how many deaths from Chernobyl related illness have resulted around EUROPE alone.

    Some estimate its in the millions but certainly more than 4000.

    Sorry, you did not say 25m, my bad, but you did say;

    " In many ways this is already worse than Chernobyl, and death toll is now in the millions over 25 years."

    Actually Japan had a problem with population. Too many old people and not enough young people working paying for them. Plus because of the diet and lifestyle they have (had) the longest life span in the world. Many living to over 100, thats a lot of years to be getting state pension.

    So in many ways this crisis can be a good thing. A bit sick view point I know. Just stating some facts that`s all not saying I am pleased many people will die sooner than they would have before the crisis.

    I mean it was only about 25K people died in the quake and Tsunami but how many will die from cancer and other related premature deaths now?

    ahh i see, so it could well be the case that japan manufactured a massive earthquake, to cause a huge tsunami, which would cover up a deliberately caused meltdown at a nuclear power station, all as part of a grand scheme to reduce its population. makes you think, doesn't it.
