The junction is at N51 31.01 W00 04.37. I approached it heading west and turned south. As I said, the Streetview photo isn't a very good representation of how it now looks with the scaffolding removed.
But maybe you could make yourself useful and pop down there on your bike and get a completely up to date photo for us (do watch out for mother's and children in your path, won't you please :rotfl:)
There are no-left turn signs on both sides of the road, and the one on the Petticoat lane side even has a camera picture under it.0 -
OP, take your query to pepipoo.com.0

Sounds like part of the "drive in London" hidden charges that everyone ends up swallowing

Looks like this may be required for the OP...

Not a "hidden charge" at all, it seems quite overt to me. A "no left turn" sign, means exactly what it says (desperately trying to avoid references to "tins"
), "no left turn." If a motorist decides to ignore the road signs, they should call "fair cop" and stop whingeing about it. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
Flyboy I did not decide to ignore the roadsign. Had I noticed it I would have obeyed it or at least made bl*ody sure no-one would see me do it. I despair again at the apparent philosophy of those sometimes piling in on threads like this. Are some of you clever dicks or voyeurs or children or a mixture of all three perhaps ?
The thread isn't about whether I did or did not inadvertently break a rule - it is about a petty breach instantly costing me sixty quid because some erk lowers himself to the status of a paid trap-door spider for a living. He was not a policeman and he was not there for the public good.
And it is about the way a state is managed in these days when we are being encouraged to suffer cuts for the public good and pull together to lower the deficit - local authorities spend money on these scamera cars and occupants at one end of the scale but turn off street lamps making streets dark and more dangerous at the other.
It's about the way new "jobs" are introduced supposedly to create wealth and/or a better place for us to live in, but are they really jobs?
It is about what I think, and now it is about the way all of you think too.
So basically those of you who are laughing at me are suggesting that this is the kind of random policing and enforcement that you would like to experience in your lives of otherwise unbridled freedom and which you think is for the public good because it takes money of dumb Joe Bloggs and me and redistributes it to trap-door spiders and other more streetwise beings who decide who deserves to be targeted next? I have a sense of humour about these things as you can see from my first post, but some of you are ever so slightly sick I think

Drive with due care and attention in future, you will save yourself £60..0 -
The no left turn sign has the same legal meaning as a No Entry sign. Would you have ignored that too?
As for the parking restrictions only being in place Mon-Fri and Sunday, that's because you were across the road from Petticoat Lane Market....British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -

The only way to avoid this is to make your driving far more seriously, pay more attention and not try to whinge about being caught. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0
