    I totally agree with you.

But.....people have said on an average shopping basket Tesco is coming out cheaper. We are being savvy(some people wrongly call it fraud) and pinpointing the items which are higher to take full advantage of the offer. Just as you would pinpoint bogofs or buy 2 for £2! There is nothing wrong with what we are doing but it could be seen as cheeky!

You are right, but at the same time Tesco are cheaper on the average shop apparently.

But if you were having a party and buying some booze for it, then Tesco just happened to work out waaaaay more expensive...

There was one day last week when vouchers were pretty slow in arriving.
Anyone remember if it was Friday?

Yes it was - they didn't arrive until about 9am Saturday last week

I'm interested in knowing this too - still waiting for mine and am hoping I get the correct amount instead of the £20 as the T&C didn't change until after my shop. Although I can proove that, how can I proove I put it through the price checker beforehand?? Anyone know??

    good question

I am waiting for my voucher as well. Shopped yesterday around 11 am. If I get £20 voucher only and I am expecting about £35-40 then I will just take some stuff back and do small shopping from now on. I bought ariel gel, dishwasher tabs, Surf and shampoo.

    Think I'm due about £60 - here's hoping!!
Can't really take anything back.....opened/used loads of it and not worth the hassle for the rest as everything I bought I would use anyway - luckily x

Tesco are not just on dodgy legal ground but acting illegally if you bought your goods under one set of T&Cs - an inducement to buy being the DTD guarantee - then stop you getting your DTD under the old rules because at the moment you input your receipt data a day or so later you are forced to agree to different T&Cs.

I personally would not accept this, after CS at Tesco I'd involve TS/ Consumer Direct and if necessary the Small Claims Court - I doubt very much whether Tesco would defend it.

Soz, saw this after I replied above! Fingers crossed then

Thats only what i think thats not what will happen, really tesco should have applied any changes from say 00:01 this morning but it seems they are going to try applying them retrospectively - As i've said i printed off the T&Cs when i submitted my receipt and it clearly stated the limit is £100 per voucher.
TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS

I think Tescos have been too busy dealing with the press this am to get around to sending out vouchers!!

p.s. to the newbies (and everyone really) - don't forget to use the price check scanners instore if you are a bit Scooby Dubious about the SEL... helps if you can discreetly put an item back rather than refusing it at checkout because it's too cheap! :rotfl:

But how can we prove it was cheaper at that exact time? if their pricechecker thing isn't up anymore?

aside from going to asda and taking a picture of their SEL??

sorry i'm obviously not getting it but after reading about the t&c changes this morning not sure i trust tesco...
