  • Hi, I just need an update on wines that I can get DTD on.

If we assume T are going to apply a £20 voucher limit after they sort out the mess they have got themselves into over their "terms and conditions".............

Asda are going to have a field day with their advertising...........

one can almost see the full page newspaper ad now, something along the lines of............ a receipt for a very deliberately chosen "general shop", with advertising copy of

"You may get a "double the difference voucher" back from Tesco Price Check(*1)............... but even after using the Tesco voucher you would still have been cheaper going to Asda"

small print of......... (*1) subject to detailed terms and conditions as shown on www.tescopricecheck.com

This may well end up being a marketing disaster for Tesco!!

    love it :rotfl:

so just comparing prices for my shop tonight
the 4 pack of princes tuna that was £5.30ish BOGOF last week is £2.99 now beautifully demonstrating how tesco double their prices initially for bogofs

and tesco offers look a bit rubbish to me at the moment on their site
    ahhhh what else to buy???????

yep and the first time to try it.....wish i hadnt got sucked in to the greed of it all and stuck to what i was doing but a little voice in my head told me to follow the crowd!! :(

can i just ask why some are in such a rush to spend vouchers issued before today though?? as i read it those vouchers are still valid as its only capped for shops done from today onwards....please correct me if i'm wrong!

i am concerned T&C will be tightened further
not sure, its quite a large amount and i would feel more comforatble if reduced its size

    I've been Money Tipped!
Just used my DTD voucher for £55 thanks to everybody on here for alerting me re the change of the vouchers from £20 to correct amount.... I had printed the £20 and was on my way out to Tesco.... so I was chuffed to be alerted....did a normal shop with things that I really needed although some dtd items did sneak into my trolley... the SA that served me was overjoyed to see my voucher and accepted it no problem but he did say that they weren't allowed to accept vouchers for more than £20 from midnight tonight..:eek:...he was so happy for me he even showed it to the supervisor [at this time I was trembling with fear] all she said was thats the best one yet well done you!!!!!:T

a newbie here so still getting to grips with this promotion and so far have done it all wrong!! :(

up until this morning had done 3 shops...getting braver each time and spending my own money...so this morning i decide to 'recycle' a £58 voucher that most of you appear to have been doing and buy a load more DTD items which i did and spent over £80 which included a roasting pan, razor and olay cream.....none of which i actually needed!! so anyway i get home and submit my receipt and then pop on here to find 'the sh*t has hit the fan' and Tesco have now capped the vouchers to £20  so i feel i have now wasted £58 that couldve been spent on things i actually need.....however i'll get over it but my question now is this:

can i return some of the stuff and still claim the £20 voucher they will send me tomorrow or is it a case of using the £20 and keeping the useless items....or return the majority of 'non-perishables' (which i'm dreading doing!) and then forfeit the £20? hope this makes sense?!

re enter your voucher details. tesco have back tracked and given us the proper amount
life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.

Does anyone know what time tesco changed the terms back from £100 cap to £20 as I know they changed back briefly today. Thanks in advance :)

Got my price check email from Tesco at 12:15 today, clicked on the voucher and it came up at £20. Tried again just after 6pm and it's gone up to what it should have been before the £20 cap - £45.20

    Part of the Furniture
Sorry to hear some have had lots of problems, my voucher also popped up at the correct amount, thank you for posting all those who noticed, I printed it off immediately in case they messed around with them again.

I'm using my voucher up tomorrow and am taking a few bottles of wine back for a refund so I can pull my money together for something I really want, which given my initial spend will have cost me half of the price so very win win for me :D Plus the other few bottles, 2 roasting tins, 3 nivea's. 2 razors, coffee, nappies, loads of wipes... the list goes on (within reason)

Unfortunately the cashier took my last receipt which had the nivea purchases on as they were a bit ott expensive for what they were, they would have gone back before the wine but needs and must... I shall have baby soft skin for a long time now.

I know Mr T has been such a face-ache over all this which is a shame as the staff I have dealt with have been lovely. You would have converted me Mt T but the major flaw is not the prices (anymore), more the width of the aisles, and I am a skinny minnie! Never have I been so stressed tryng to mannouvre a trolly in a supermarket. Probably just my local that is so squashed in but still I like a bit of breathing space between me and the person oogling the magazines
    :p
