Dear Sir/Madam
I did an instore shop with Tesco yesterday as I was interested in the recent promotion started by yourselves, where you were offering double the difference on items found cheaper in Asda.
I received my results this morning, thank you. But there seems to be somethin amiss.
Here is what my results said
'This time, your shop would have been £ 17.17 cheaper at ASDA so we'll give you a voucher for double the difference back! . '
As you can imagine I was quite pleased with the results but when I clicked on the print voucher it said the voucher is for £20.00 and not £34.34 as it should have been.
I have noticed changes to your terms and conditions in the last couple of hours. But when I entered my receipt details yesterday it stated it was capped at £100 not £20
How can Tesco justify changing the terms and conditions for receipts entered into the system prior to the changes.
I appreciate Tesco can change their T&Cs at any time but surely those changes should apply to receipts entered into the price checker after the changes of the T&Cs and not before?
I look forward to your response
Kind Regards
XXXXXXXX
Thanks for this - I have sent mine off and have included my receipt details as well so they can trace it - the numbers at the bottom of the receipt.0 -
The thing that surprises me is that everyone seems surprised...it was inevitable as it being abused so blatantly...£100 a month is excellent and at £20 , that's 5 shops a month, sems very reasonable to me...I read a post a few pages back were someone said they had been re-cycling their receipt...so they openly admit abusing the system and wonder why Tesco have decided to do something about it.Sorry if this upsets most of you, as I'm the first to post in favour of Tesco's new T&C's ,you really can't blame them for changing them....I've used it to my advantage twice so far, and have 1 to use,all were shops under £30, and no alcohol, used Tesco credit card to ensure I get my points, don't mind them knowing it's me, and I'm well under the £100 limit which I always intended to stick to ...not being smug here, just my opinion, and we are all entitled to our own views, I'm not slagging anyone off and don't expect to get slagged off in return.. it seems that Tesco aren't as bigger fools as a lot of people assumed they were...be honest ,the way it it was going we all knew it would not last...
So the right thing to do is a) change the T&C's, then AFTER that point, cap vouchers for claims made after that point.
And as for people who didn't print (why oh why) but saw their vouchers for over £20, how can those change?I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing!

Re amount of vouchers you can receive per month.
Anyone know if the monthly limit of £100 means per calendar month or otherwise?0 -
I've just rung Customer Services. I explained that the T&C stated "max £100" both before and after I did my shop but there is no movement as far as they are concerned. She also stated that all returns have to be taken back to the store that they were purchased from.
I felt quite sorry for her as she was really nice and was not going to be having a good day! Up to the big Tescos for me then!!0 -

This is spot on. You can still take home £100 of goods home free every month from Tesco, albeit the goods are only worth £50 at Asda.
The reality is people were taking home hundreds of pounds worth of alcohol etc. and expected Tesco to roll over.......no chance!0 -
I think we all need to go use our vouchers today and then chill out with a nice bottle of plonk with some cheese, pringles and after eightsAKA; Mad, MM, MM5, Madicles  ©
