Im really sorry for everyone who has had their vouchers reduced.
Yes maybe it is Legal right but morally, no.
Tesco advertised this , then started changing it to suit themsleves al the time, they are not the cheapest and never have been.
Yeah maybe if they altered the vouchers issued as off tomorrow and changed their advertising, fair enough. But to cap the vouchers people from sales before todays change is disgusting.
If they start putting up to £20 on big bold letters . fair enough.
If you have a large shopping bill then you probably - without even calculating it, earn over £20 in vouchers with the price differance.
Personally I think we should start a petition saying that we will no longer shop with them in any form- tesco direct , in store etc .Maybe if they see the potential loss of earnings they might bother. I for one will use the voucher I have , I was lucky my voucher is £10 )and not being going back . I dont do big shops so the new cap wont mabye effect me, but as a point of principal , they stink.0 -
Can you return the items to a Tesco Local for a refund. I have one up the road here but will travel up to the big store if I needed too.
Thanks0 -
they can do what they like - they reserve rights to change the T&Cs or cancel the whole thing whenever they like - thats one of the T&Cs!0

UPDATE FOR EVERYONE WITH OLD VOUCHERS FOR MORE THAN £20
just rang and explained i printed it off last week and have not been in since, she said yes it was still valid. I asked for her name and she logged on her computer how much the voucher was worth (£97.53 - how embarassing!) and said if i have any problems to get the store to ring them. she gave me her name, her managers name, a reference number and said she had logged it so anyone can see it if they ring up. I would advise doing the same before you shop, just incase.0 -

yeah i think it will work cos the value is written on the ones that people have already printed - if you use them today and argue - if you have to - then you will probably get it honoured but after today i think you'll have a bigger battle on your hands iykwim0 -
I printed off a voucher for £20.02 at approx 11am (I know it's only 2p over but i wonder if I tried it again it'd be £20?) possibly only changed in last hour or two. Not near printer so can't check at the minutePlease remember to thank fellow MSE'rs :beer:0

Dear Sir/Madam
I did an instore shop with Tesco yesterday as I was interested in the recent promotion started by yourselves, where you were offering double the difference on items found cheaper in Asda.
I received my results this morning, thank you. But there seems to be somethin amiss.
Here is what my results said
'This time, your shop would have been £ 17.17 cheaper at ASDA so we'll give you a voucher for double the difference back! . '
As you can imagine I was quite pleased with the results but when I clicked on the print voucher it said the voucher is for £20.00 and not £34.34 as it should have been.
I have noticed changes to your terms and conditions in the last couple of hours. But when I entered my receipt details yesterday it stated it was capped at £100 not £20
How can Tesco justify changing the terms and conditions for receipts entered into the system prior to the changes.
I appreciate Tesco can change their T&Cs at any time but surely those changes should apply to receipts entered into the price checker after the changes of the T&Cs and not before?
I look forward to your response
Kind Regards
