I did some shopping today and my voucher for 73.96 went through for that amount, I've got another for £55 tho!

ETA THIS WAS AT ABOUT 11.30AM

    These are my only two.

I will be returning things, typical Tesco, can dish it out but they can't take it, maybe we should have a boycott tesco day/week/month? ;)

Some of you may like to have a look at the Tesco.com Price Check website. It is 12.45pm and even now the first page that comes up states:

"We’ll check the price of your comparable grocery shopping versus ASDA and then send you an email when we have your results. Of course we’re confident you will find your shopping cheaper at Tesco, but if not, we’ll refund double the difference."

There is no mention whatsoever of a £20 (or any) cap. There is no way Tesco can get away with this, they must know it's not legal. Think Advertising Standards people may also be interested, they'll still be advertising it in stores etc.
    Hope is not a strategy.
  • I will be going tonight and spending my £97 voucher (hopefully this info will not have filtered down yet), then keeping my £60 one for next weeks shop and just HOPING it goes through.
  • I am SO angry at this underhand behaviour - I did a shop yesterday afternoon and was expecting a DTD voucher for about £88 - now find like everyone else it has been capped at £20.

I input my receipt yesterday when the T&Cs were for £100 cap - surely they cannot get away with changing vouchers retrospectively like this? Surely any change should only apply to receipts which are input from now on?

I will be emailing CS as I cannot get through on the phone!

just a thought but everyone who is going to ring tesco should all quote the same line

WELL ALL YOUR PROMOTION HAS PROVED TO ME IS THAT YOU ARE OVERPRICED AND UNFAIR, I WILL BE SHOPPING AT ASDA NOW SO THANK YOU FOR MAKING THAT DECISION FOR ME, I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW TO DO THE SAME'

when everysingle customer service rep on the phone hears this then it will be reported back to the bigwigs - that'll teach them for being greedy too!!! all theyve got with people 'abusing the system' is a taste of their own medicine and evidently is doesnt taste sweet!! shame lol!

every single person saying they will be shopping at asda now will have them very very worried

    Your Price Check Results

    Sorry...
This time, your shop would have been £ 39.86 cheaper at ASDA so we'll give you a voucher for double the difference back!
You can use it on your very next shop at a till in a Tesco store or by giving it to your delivery driver for a tesco.com online grocery shop.

Remember to bring your receipt or delivery note as this voucher is only redeemable with it.
Keep checking and we will try and do better next time.
Thank you for shopping with us.

    TOTAL £ 83.76 £ 43.90

so how can they say one thing and do another, i was debating whether to take the wine back but most of it was paid for with a dtd,
gutted that i have lost aboout £50 worth of vouchers grrr
