YESTERDAY's T&C
***TESCO PRICE CHECK TERMS AND CONDITIONS HAVE BEEN UPDATED***
apologies once again if this has been posted. here are the new/updated T&Cs - i have underlined any new/amended points!
The Tesco Price Check Terms and Conditions
Price Check Comparisons- Price comparisons for in-store purchases are based on what the customer actually buys and the date of purchase or delivery. This includes price reductions and promotions (such as "half price" and "buy one get one free") but not store or category wide promotions such as “buy 6 bottles of wine and get 5% off” or linksave promotions (such as "buy cheese and get crackers free"). These are excluded as it is difficult to make fair comparisons. Products that are purchased on a "reduced to clear" basis will be compared at the price paid at till.
- Price comparisons for orders made online are based on what the customer received and paid for and the delivery date.
- Price data used for the Tesco Price Check is obtained from daily web scans of the Asda Home Shopping site.
- If prices are found to be different across the website postcodes sampled, we have used the most commonly occurring price.
- Only branded grocery products that are identical or very similar own label grocery equivalents are included and compared. For own label products to be included we have tried to ensure the equivalent own label product meets the same needs or is intended for the same purpose.
- For example, we may:
- Identify the key characteristics of the products including flavour, and whether it is organic, Fairtrade, low fat, or eco-friendly ensuring that they are not matched in a way that gives any retailer an artificial advantage.
- Where products differ in size, weight or volume, ensure that this difference does not favour one retailer over another.
- Compare goods where there is no more than a 10% difference in size, weight, or volume.
- Every attempt is made to match every possible Grocery product. However there are rare occasions where some products are not immediately matched or matching is not possible (for example new products, or products recently changing in pack size). The Frequently Asked Questions give some examples of why products may not be matched.
- No correspondence will be entered into and no refunds will be given for products not being matched on Price Check.
- The Tesco Price Check is made against comparable grocery shopping only, as defined above. It does not include any non-grocery categories whether available in store or online or any in store concessions.
- Only grocery products that are sold on Asda’s Home Shopping site are included and compared against in the Tesco Price Check.
- The Tesco Price Check website will be updated with Asda prices on a daily basis for customers to check their receipts against.
- Where the item is not available for comparison on the Asda Home Shopping site, the product is shown as 'not available' (N/A).
- All prices obtained for Asda are believed to be correct. On rare occasions however, due to the number of prices being checked, there may be some inaccuracies.
- For a comparison to be made, your shop must contain at least 1 comparable grocery product.
- The difference in price shown between the comparable grocery products in your shopping at Tesco and the equivalent shopping at Asda will be the total price for all comparable products in the basket.
- Only Tesco Extra, Superstore and Metro formats are included. Products purchased in an Express, Petrol Filling Station or Homeplus store are not included in the Tesco Price Check.
- Valid email addresses are required so that we can inform you of the results of the comparison. Tesco are not liable for an incorrect entry of email addresses.
- Customers should receive details of comparison results by email within 36 hours.
- Claims can only be made online via the website http://www.tesco.com/pricecheck.
- Claims must be made within 28 days of purchase (for in store purchases), or within 28 days of the date of delivery, if bought online.
- Price Check vouchers can be redeemed either in store or against an online Grocery order, irrespective of whether the original purchase was made in store or online.
- To use your vouchers in store, vouchers must be presented together with your original receipt and can be redeemed off the cost of your next shop at the checkouts. You must retain your original receipt as vouchers are not valid without the original receipt. Photocopied receipts will not be accepted.
- Vouchers must be used within 28 days of date of issue.
- Vouchers can only be redeemed against transactions of an equal or higher value than the voucher.
- Price Check vouchers cannot be redeemed against purchases of petrol, lottery, tobacco, infant formula, cafe, pharmacy, gift cards and mobile phone top up or at the Tesco Direct Desk.
- Vouchers have no cash value. No change will be given. Copied, damaged or defaced vouchers will not be accepted. This voucher is and shall remain the property of Tesco Stores Limited and is not for resale or publication.
- Where an item on a receipt is returned, Tesco reserves the right to invalidate the whole receipt for the purposes of Price Check or where a Price Check voucher has already been obtained, invalidate the voucher.
- Where an item on a receipt is returned and a Price Check voucher has already been redeemed in relation to this receipt, any refund offered for the item may be offered net of the Price Check voucher's value.
- Where an item is purchased using a Price Check voucher and the item is subsequently returned, any refund will be offered by way of a Tesco money card only.
- Returns will not be accepted because a product is not matched on Price Check.
- The Returns Policy does not affect the customer's statutory rights.
Tesco Operates a Fair use policy on Price Check. As such:- The number of Price Check requests is limited to 10 per calendar month per household and the total amount of Price Check Vouchers that can be claimed is limited to £100 per calendar month per household.
- The maximum value of an individual Price Check Voucher is capped at £100.
- Only one Price Check Voucher may be redeemed per household per day.
- We have the right to withdraw or amend the Tesco Price Check at any time without notice.
- Where we suspect that any false or fraudulent claim or one abusing the spirit of the Price Check scheme is being made, we reserve the right to refuse to issue or redeem a Price Check Voucher.
- To prevent abuse we reserve the right to verify any Price Check Voucher before redeeming in store or online.
- Tesco employees are entitled to use this service. All price comparisons will be made before your Privilege card discount has been applied

I agree with you all and think its atrocious, but they have added this:
Term 36: Where we suspect that any false or fraudulent claim or one abusing the spirit of the Price Check scheme is being made, we reserve the right to refuse to issue or redeem a Price Check Voucher.
So i dont think any of us (including me) who have been "making shopping lists" will have a leg to stand on, as its not in the "spirit of the price check". By all means I think we should fight it, and i will do anything to help (have not lost anything personally but will back you all), but i think they have been clever with it by adding this clause as they can state they "had no choice" but to pull the plug. and if they manage to trace all our trails (somehow), they will have evidence.

IMHO
I agree that tesco did wrong, changing t&c's and not informing about it before but on the other hand, lots of people on here were abusing the system, getting voucher for more than £100 and repeating the shopping every day. I just did my first shopping today and my DTD will hopefully be £14 fingers crossed that it will go through.0 -
