As far as I am concerned, 100 dept managers can say the same thing. The fact of the matter is it is not in the T&Cs......end of story!!

Until it is in the T&Cs I wouldn't worry, and other people definitely shouldn't worry either. Take along a copy of the T&Cs if you think there may be a problem and point out that there is no mention of it.

Tesco marketing are the people who make up the rules and change the T&Cs....not dept managers or SAs.

Same applies to SAs defacing receipts.....this isn't just wrong but it's also illegal! It is your property!!

I am getting sick of hearing stories where SAs, supervisors or managers trying to intimidate customers by making up rules.

Stand your ground folks, know your rights!
    You said it! :money:
I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing! ;)

Would be hard to prove the slander and would be expensive to bring an action. Stupid that the terms and conditions can be added to in order to suit Tesco though.

Don't worry about the T&C change. Just enjoy the promotion while it lasts.

Their T&C's are just a marketing blurb designed to scare off potentially paranoid customers from claiming their DTD vouchers. It's not like the Geneva Convention - it's just Tesco's promotion T&C's that nobody reads anyway.

Really not worth worrying about for as long as they keep sending you and accepting new vouchers. Problems with your local store? Just find another one. And don't worry about the occasional N/A either - for every N/A there are at least 10 DTD items, and this forum really helps weed the N/A's out.

Let them "observe their fair use policy", I have my own policy: if somebody gives you money, take it! :D

oh dear, this has been posted many times, and comes up as N/F on the pricechecker, so don't expect a voucher anytime soon.

Asda's mentions Sauvignon, Tesco's doesn't. Hardys website doesn't list Tesco as a supplier of the Chard/Sauv, so the Tesco is a pure Chard.

    Different wines = No DTD.

It will be going back tomorrow then!! No harm done! I didnt have time to read 350 pages of thread sadly!
  • Has anyone used a voucher at Copdock, Ipswich and if so how was it? Thanks

I've been there twice today, both times the supervisor (thankfully different shift) was called over, and they wanted to keep the original receipt, which was fine. The second shop consisted of 10 bottles of Turner Road Reserve which caused some excitement from the people in the queue behind me!

From previous occasions, pick a checkout away from the supervisors desk and if it's busy there's a good chance they'll take it after some discussion amongst those around them!

    hth..

I had to get a replacement receipt as I lost mine, took it in today with voucher and they refused is, said it had to be the original.
    Head office said the same.

oh i must have been lucky then as they accepted mine no problem she just checked it matched as they normally would, i noticed t&cs do say original.

That is not true, last night someone posted that they had got DTD through customer service for it because it is the same wine and Hardy's do say that Tesco sell it!

Ill keep my fingers crossed then and email CS if it comes back - Im new to all this but if all else fails Ill just return them!

But now they won't enter into correspondence so how can you ask CS for a DTD when the pricechecker N/F's it?

    New rules = new problems

It's not worth the time and effort to complain about N/F. Just return the item and get something else. When returning just tell them you made a mistake and bought too many/wrong item/don't like it anymore/whatever.

IMO the stores shouldn't be able to refuse the voucher if it's issued. Tesco have the ability to decide whether or not to issue the voucher based on what you've already claimed via your email address in relation to the £100 limit and also if they feel you're in breach of the T&C's by "abusing" the dtd price check they should refuse to issue it. I feel that if you pass all of the requirements and the voucher is issued then it should be honoured in store saving hassle and embarassment for both customer and store staff.- what do you guys think? If they don't want to honour it- don't issue it! :)

Yep, I agree. If they can't operate the scheme to run within their own Terms and Conditions, how can anybody else??
  • Sorry if this has been asked before but i did a search and couldnt find anything.

Please can someone tell me what tesco's instore returns policy is, can you return food (tins and bottles) and toiletries (shower gel and shampoo)

Also does anyone know what the stars on the tesco recpits mean? some items have * next to them and some dont, is this tesco code for anything?
