  • omg over 5000 posts now. Still not got yesterday's voucher through. Think it must be because I was sent to Customer Services to pay for my shopping as I was using a dtd voucher. My voucher was for just over £34 and I spent £48 altogether. Supervisor said Tesco policy was for all customers with dtd vouchers to go to Customer Services. I did get a receipt with the date etc. but the bottom bit is missing, i.e. it says Total to Pay and then nothing. Should have Cash and then Change Due. If nothing tomorrow I will phone or email them.
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

I asked him why he had refused the voucher and he said the timing was different (24 hr) clock and that I had only spent £23.00 and got a voucher for £19.00.

It's hardly you fault Tesco are so expensive! Def take advice above and stand your ground. Complain to CS too and keep e-mailing/writing until you get an apology. Be polite at all times. Tesco need a lesson in manners it would appear.

If he had refused a number of vouchers for that reason today, would it not be more indicitive of a problem with Tesco and the way their vouchers are printed?

Or does he think that every 'fraud' that's printing vouchers has made the same fundamental error with timing?

    What a clown he is!

If they've got any sense they will say they are invalid, you can't claim that much back and you can't use it!

But does t it become a grey area as they've issued the voucher? Surely all they could do is either amend it to the £100 or authorize it? :)
Please remember to thank fellow MSE'rs

Print it out again (only because you haven't used it already). Take a deep breath and go and ask to speak to the CSM - and say that you intend to do a shop and you do not want to be embarrased again just because their 24hr clock issue. Explain, if prompted, that in fact the difference was actually £9.50 and it was only DTD that brought it upto £19.00. If they won't budge then you will need to contact head office, so get all their details.

I think he thought it was a fraudulent voucher I dont know what gave him that idea. I just printed the voucher of that I was sent and took it in. He acted as though people had been creating the voucher themselves. I dont think I could go back to that store to do a shop as he said he had refused a number of vouchers already. When I told him about the timing difference. He said he had some vouchers with the correct time on.(not 24 hrs) hope that makes sense.
