I wonder what customer services would advise to those with vouchers higher than £100 if the customer called to query it and innocently ask if they would be able to use it despite the terms stating a £100 fair usage limit per household?! I wonder if they'd change it or just tell you to use it and they'd authorise it if the store queried it? :)

If they've got any sense they will say they are invalid, you can't claim that much back and you can't use it!

I wonder if you guys can help me. I have read others stories about thier vouchers being scrutinsed. I went to do a shop today and the dept manager refused to take my voucher. It was for £23 he refused to give me the voucher back and wrote on my receipt 'price check voucher refused in store' time and date. He said that he had refused to take a number of vouchers from customers today. I felt so embarrased and dont feel I can do another shop.

I asked him why he had refused the voucher and he said the timing was different (24 hr) clock and that I had only spent £23.00 and got a voucher for £19.00.

I wasnt sure what to do now as he has kept my voucher and wrote on my receipt.

Thanks to all for all the deals posted.

All I can say is that you need to contact Head Office about this with dates and timings. Did you take the individual's name? Do you have your original email - the one that gave you the link to the voucher? If so, you can at least provide HO with the details of the voucher that was refused as well.

I went to redeem a voucher tonight. SA was lovely but didn't know what to do with it and said she thought I'd need to take it to Asda to be redeemed:rotfl:

I explained it was a Tesco promotion and she said 'Yes, I know about the promotion but if you bought from us originally, it's Asda who you will need to take your voucher to.' I asked why Asda should cough up because Tesco were more expensive but thankfully a supervisor came across at that point and took the necessary action

It seems the 'staff briefing' that has taken place about this promotion is working well:cool:

It is experiences like this that should be reported straight back to head office with the name of the store and the name of the person telling you such rubbish, the supervisor should be held accountable aswell as they are the ones who are supposed to be training!

Every Tesco store has a blue folder with all the latest bulletins. It is usually located at every managers desk near the checkouts. The current DTD campaign bulletin also contains promotion T&C's and instructions on how to process DTD vouchers.

So if you ever encounter a clueless/rude CS manager just request them to kindly pull the bulletin out and read it in front of you.

Provided your voucher and receipt voucher discount (for previous DTD) doesn't add up to more than £100 they have to honour the voucher.

If someone for example used a £90 voucher this month to pay for shopping and accrued another £90 voucher as a result of that shop but didn't redeem the second £90 until April would that be classed as ok or not? It all seems to be a grey area IMO :)

    ***Warning!!!!!***

    Hi all,
Have just been to Tesco to use up a voucher of my own and 1 which belongs to my disabled neighbour (my good deed for the day). Anyway when i got to the till and pulled out my neighbours voucher the SA say's "what's this? i'll have to get my supervisor to have a look at this". When the Supervisor finally pulled herself from her chair and made her way the full 10ft to the till she was just awful and demanded to know if i'd been on that website !!! When i asked what she was going on about she scowled " that Martin Lewis :money: bloke, he's got a website don't tell me you don't know what im on about, were on to you lot, we've had an email about it, don't think you can come in here with your vouchers getting free stuff" When i told her i'd never heard of him, she told me she didn't believe me and didn't believe the last one neither!! Anyway when i asked if i could just get on with my shopping, after i'd took her name (i can feel a strong worded complaint coming on she made me very cross ) she took the voucher and then refused it as showed that the last lot was paid for with DTD and this would take it 4 pence over the £100 monthly limit. Yes that is a full 4 pence. She then sneered " i bet you don't want that lot now do you, seeing as you can't use your voucher??? (felt like slapping her with my new roasting tins) Bought it anyway to annoy her and it did she was like a Bulldog chewing a wasp :D. Imagine her annoyance when i pulled out another 1 to pay for my own shopping!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:She then scribbled all over my new receipt that it had been paid for with a DTD coupon and how much it was for, it looks like a toddler's had hold of it .
Anyway sorry for ranting on, just wanted everyone to be aware that some are being very rude and i don't know whether she was fibbing about the emails or not. Also yes i understand they are to implement rules and things but it was bloody 4 pence!!! Still theres no need to be so bloody horrid about it.
Think i'll have to indulge in some Baileys and After Eights to calm me down :rotfl::rotfl:

have you entered your receipt details for what i've highlighted above??

that is the most important thing from your quote!! :rotfl:

btw, if you are reading tesco supervisor, :hello:, we are on to you tooooooo!!!!!!!!

Print it out again (only because you haven't used it already). Take a deep breath and go and ask to speak to the CSM - and say that you intend to do a shop and you do not want to be embarrased again just because their 24hr clock issue. Explain, if prompted, that in fact the difference was actually £9.50 and it was only DTD that brought it upto £19.00. If they won't budge then you will need to contact head office, so get all their details.
Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies
