    Help Please

How am I meant to check the prices before I do my shopping in the first place or do I have to do it from the asda and tesco sites seperatley ?

You'll need to use another site. Interestingly, Tesco are less than keen now to assist people ripping them off so have removed the Product Checker.

It seems the 'staff briefing' that has taken place about this promotion is working well:cool:

Yes, thank you, so far I had to brief all SA's and CS managers myself when redeeming DTD vouchers. They just don't like to read their bulletins anymore... ;)

I went to redeem a voucher tonight. SA was lovely but didn't know what to do with it and said she thought I'd need to take it to Asda to be redeemed:rotfl:

I explained it was a Tesco promotion and she said 'Yes, I know about the promotion but if you bought from us originally, it's Asda who you will need to take your voucher to.' I asked why Asda should cough up because Tesco were more expensive but thankfully a supervisor came across at that point and took the necessary action

It seems the 'staff briefing' that has taken place about this promotion is working well:cool:

:rotfl: That basically sums up Tesco training!

Welcome to MSE nikkilala!! Imagine giving you back the voucher ..... surely she needs it to go in her till for it to balance at the end of the shift?

That's what I am a bit worried about, I think she just got so carried away trying to discreetly write her own list from my receipt! she just handed it back to me, just hope she doesnt get into trouble for not taking it.

I wonder if you guys can help me. I have read others stories about thier vouchers being scrutinsed. I went to do a shop today and the dept manager refused to take my voucher. It was for £23 he refused to give me the voucher back and wrote on my receipt 'price check voucher refused in store' time and date. He said that he had refused to take a number of vouchers from customers today. I felt so embarrased and dont feel I can do another shop.

I asked him why he had refused the voucher and he said the timing was different (24 hr) clock and that I had only spent £23.00 and got a voucher for £19.00.

I wasnt sure what to do now as he has kept my voucher and wrote on my receipt.

Thanks to all for all the deals posted.

What was the reason he gave for refusing?

Ok When I go to the price checker as shown in the original post step 1 All it brings up is the option to select instore or online then asks for reciept details.

How am I meant to check the prices before I do my shopping in the first place or do I have to do it from the asda and tesco sites seperatley ?

    Thanks for any help

There was a price checker that compared prices for tesco, asda and sainsburys. This sin't working anymore so yes you do have to check both the websites separately, sometimes items that you'cve seen on both will come back N/F so they don't count that one. Bit of a gamble unless someone has already reported an items works, but even with that what works one day doesn't always work the next. Good luck
