Just been to my local tesco with my voucher for £22 (only little i know compared to others) and the SA had never seen one and it's a big store so i was surprised. She was delighted by how much I'd got back and asked what I'd bought and how I'd got the voucher. She wrote a little list copied off of my receipt and said she would buy it all when her shift finished. She then promptly gave me back my voucher, receipt, and new receipt!
This is the first time I've ever posted, have "lurked" for a year but want to say a massive thank you to everyone for all your invalueable advice particularly with the DTD's

one year?!?! i lurked here for 5 minutes and joined immediately!!

I can't wait to use my voucher tomorrow! NOT!!!

If anyone speaks to me out of line in Tesco tomorrow, I will have a hissy fit....I swear! I refuse to be spoken to like a criminal and if they ask me about this site I shall tell them I've found you all very helpful! What the hell can they do? I am making the most of their promotion. Just like I would if there was bogofs or buy 1 get 2 free, or buy 2 for £2 etc etc......this is no different!

If Tesco can shout from the rooftops that they are cheaper than Asda or can match their prices but not fulfil that promise then that is not my problem!

    Night night all :)

Well said lalamb. May you have a good sleep and wake up ready to take on Tesco World tomorrow.
I think it's worth everyone remembering that Tesco will cause more problems for themselves if they continue to allow the staff to make up their own rules and talk to the customers the way they do. After all Tesco is ....... not the cheapest supermarket, as we all know and it's them that have made the ludicrous statement!

I went to redeem a voucher tonight. SA was lovely but didn't know what to do with it and said she thought I'd need to take it to Asda to be redeemed:rotfl:

I explained it was a Tesco promotion and she said 'Yes, I know about the promotion but if you bought from us originally, it's Asda who you will need to take your voucher to.' I asked why Asda should cough up because Tesco were more expensive but thankfully a supervisor came across at that point and took the necessary action

It seems the 'staff briefing' that has taken place about this promotion is working well:cool:

I think the 276,891 views includes the refreshing of pages.

Also, not everyone who reads the threads are registered, meaning they can't thank anyone.

    Right, definitely going now!

Edited to add:Why am I not surprised to see the complainers of this thread haven't thanked gazwood!

    Doesn't that speak volumes!

    Nanight now :)

You might have, but the other 52 million other people that might just fancy getting paid to shop at Mr.T's after reading about it in a paper may not, and the promotion would get stopped quicker than erm, a quick thing! (Or at best, the shelves would be empty of any decent DTD items.)

Every Tesco store has a blue folder with all the latest bulletins. It is usually located at every managers desk near the checkouts. The current DTD campaign bulletin also contains promotion T&C's and instructions on how to process DTD vouchers.

So if you ever encounter a clueless/rude CS manager just request them to kindly pull the bulletin out and read it in front of you.

Provided your voucher and receipt voucher discount (for previous DTD) doesn't add up to more than £100 they have to honour the voucher.

    HTH

So what are they going to say when i present my £109 voucher? I can't use it as its over £100?!!:rotfl:
