Same thing happened me with Nescafe Alta Rica coffee.

I rang up CS on 0800 505 555 and they said that at the time of checking, there was no equivilant available on the Asda website. However the bloke was very nice and checked it manually. He apologised for the inconvenience and is sending me a voucher for double the difference (£3.38) and is rounding it up to £5 as a goodwill gesture.

I think it is an honest mistake as we all know that websites are not 100% accurate 100% of the time but just make sure you chase it up.

You had better luck than me. I rang CS and didnt have any luck with the first guy so asked to speak to supervisor. She then said she would have to check with her Business Support Team and wouldnt be able to ring me back until she was in next on Thursday!

I think I have finished shopping now for March and will keep all vouchers for April. I am losing track and the plot! I have just found a receipt in my purse and thought I am sure I have already submitted this. the voucher was in my inbox but couldn't find it so though maybe I hadn't printed it. then I remembered I used it this morning and the young girl on the till gave me the receipt back without marking it. I asked her if she needed to keep it and she said "the supervisor didn't say so". I didn't want to point out that this wasn't my first! am so glad I remembered before I re entered it. I wonder if I had whether it would say it had already been submitted.

i think we should go national with this to the press i think tescos is hiding fact its taken price checker offline and the fact tesco have made a big boob lol obviously it works for them on their Intranet just doesnt work outside for us lol

Nice idea but I think maybe we shouldn't... atm we are getting away with murder while the general public don't have a clue about this... if everyone started doing what we're doing it'd be goodbye promotion. And we are doing ok on our own finding the DTD deals. So we should keep quiet imho. :) Does that make sense? :o What does everyone else think?

Look, I don't want to appear judgemental, but these excessively high vouchers are BOUND to call unwanted attention to all this. Tesco know darn well that we are milking the system and have turned a bit of a blind eye up till now. The instore staff mostly haven't got a clue but they are going to wise up very soon and giving them vouchers way over the £100 limit will result in some very awkward questions and close scrutiny which we can well do without.

In theory, according to the T&Cs, you shouldn't be issued with any vouchers once you have reached your household monthly limit of £100.. OK, so Tesco haven't got to grips with imposing a cut off point and are issuing vouchers for £100 plus. They can still refuse to accept such a big voucher instore as its over the allowed limit - its no good saying Tesco shouldn't have issued it, the point is customers are not (according to the T & Cs) allowed to use it!

You could get caught out very badly with a voucher of this size - much more sensible to do multiple smaller shops. The net gain is the same (possibly better if you recycle) and you will call no unpleasant attention instore to what you are doing.

People will continue to do just as they like and its of no consequence to me - I'm just saying that you are on a sticky wicket.

Yes, it is better to split your shops into smaller amounts. I have been doing this.

I would be very nervous about trying to use a £180 voucher! Just been for another DTD shop :D, used a £26 voucher, the SA nearly fainted! I didn't have the heart to tell her that I had another for almost £60 in my bag :rotfl:

I finally got the Gillette ProGlide (x3), yahoo! Also more Herbal Essences (still going through at £3.32) and Heinz fridge pack. No sign of the snap pots or La Gioisa, very annoying!!!! Going to Tesco Extra soon on a DTD mission lol.

How much is the Hardys Crest Shiraz at Asda - still £4.78 compared to Tesco £10.49? I saw it but wasn't sure if it was still cheaper at Asda (but have just checked mysupermarket and it is). I am so tempted to go back for some. Will I?

Tesco are calling the price checker the bit where you input your receipt details. The bit that was being used by us to check prices was called product check.

But when I click the link on page 1 of this thread to goes to the page where you input your receipt, not the comparison tool. Where has it gone??? and is it working or are they talking porkies???

Reply back to them and ask if they are using it via the public facing website or via their intranet because it is NOT working for the public

Quick question to all the more experienced peeps lol !!!!!

Done my first shops yesterday, split into 2 different ones, went in and took 1st shop to the car.... then went back in again lol!!

Thing is i got Nescafe Cap Columbie in both my shops, just the one jar mind !!

At tescos, it was £ 3.69, and at asda it is £2.00

But it has come up as N/A........

If i phone customer services, how do I put it?? That i got 2, or do I confess to only buying 1, do they ask for the reciept nos again to check on DTD etc...... or shall I just let the 1 item go lol !!

Any ideas welcome , I will be posting once the munchkins have gone to bed what items I got.....thanks to you lovely peeps, I got some lovely vouchers back lol !!
