Hi this is a reply to an email i sent tesco customer services on friday about the time differences on original receipts and price dtd vouchers. I received the reply today. Hope this helps.


Thank you for your email. I’d like to apologise for the delay in replying. Normally, we can get back in touch with you within 24 hours and I’m sorry that we haven’t done so on this occasion.

Thanks for asking about our Price Checker vouchers and the difference with stating the times on them differently to the receipts.

The stores are aware of this and should accept your vouchers without any problems as the staff have all been briefed on this.

Please let us know if you have any problems and we'll be happy to look into this for you.

Where does it say in their T&C's that you can't recycle vouchers?

And besides, why would the local stores care anyway? Tesco head office reimburse them for DTD vouchers anyway from Tesco promo budget, so it really benefits the local store.

so basically they want to stop you doing a full dtd shop only paying once and then using coupon for more dtd and again and again

A lot of the Olay is on offer at ASDA at £5 on a Mothers Day promo but £10,.21 at Tesco so a few of these this would make a nice gift for your Mothers and cost nothing!

I think perhaps the store manager phoned customer services and queried the amount on the dtd voucher too, seeing it is more than the average shop then price checked the items you were wanting to purchase, realising you were recycling receipts the manager probably decided to sign the new one to stop you doing so, which is nicer than saying we don't want your custom.
