  • There's no excuse, though - for instance, how long was Tesco charging £19.19 for a litre of Baileys whilst Asda was charging £10?? They must have had this flagged up on the first DTD application that included Baileys (£18.38 is a rather large 'pay back' for one product, after all). but still they persisted with it. That tells me they must have been getting loads sold and just a small proportion of buyers claiming DTD. Tesco are a cynical bunch at the best of times.

Or perhaps they were using it as a vehicle for getting people in. Asda are now selling said product at £15. How come it's increased by 50% in two days? Interesting. :)

if they are aware of the offer then yes.

they'll see the £90 + £57 - if use it within a month, they may reject your voucher.

i think the staff will be becoming more aware and perhaps told to check etc. but so far none of the staff ive used them with have even asked for my receipt, but with it being a biggy I think they will. we shall see

Sorry to ask another repetitive sounding questions

its about the NOTW (news of the world)£5 off £30 spend voucher
do you HAVE to register online to get it?
isn't it just in the paper if i go out and buy the paper tomorrow??
are the co-op ones valid in tesco?

didn't like the look of the registration page, asked me for my visa details even though it says it wasn't going to use them, then why ask for them?! also didn't have one of those secure pay padlocks on the page, was a bit scared to enter anything:(

I actually had to make the SA mark my two receipts and explain why she needs to do it... Totally unaware of the promotion and had to be trained by myself(third time in the same store)... I guess they aren't that worried about us making our "special" shops if they don't train their stuff properly... :P

I've just used My Supermarket for the first time, shopping on the ASDA tab. It's quite interesting because I had an item (don't know which it was now) which was cheaper in Tesco, and when I wanted to print my shopping list, it asked me if I wanted to split the shop between ASDA and Tesco. Lo and behold, I then got a comparison of the shop in both supermarkets. Might be an alternative to the price checker? (If you say you want to print it, then cancel the print dialogue box, you're left with the comparison.)

Tried to paste the image in here, but couldn't work out how.

Both of the Wolf Blass on the list are still £6 on the Asda site right now, I believe that's where Tesco are getting the prices from.

I'll just buy the paper(or 6) tomorrow... you can send them an email and request a voucher but people have been waiting ages for them so not worth it imo
