    I'm a bit confused about this whole pricechecker thing. Do they not do DTD for anything you buy that's more expensive? ie do they have set items that they do DTD for and not anything else? Is it only Asda they compare with? And are they only doing this unitl a set date or is it ongoing? Thankyou for any help!

    They are supposed to for items that are the same or upto 10% different in volume and weight, but its not certain!
    This is the confusing thing, before we were using the price checker, now they have removed it.
    They only compare with Asda
    It is ongoing but they reserve the right to remove it at any time.

    Bottle being Ariel Stain Remover Gel;

    Nooo, you complete a small survey, print it out, and post your receipt with the survey and they'll refund you the £4.58 (probably plus 35p or whatever it is for the stamp too):money:

    so how do they know if your fibbing??
    you could just keep it AND get your money back:silenced: ssshhh don't tell anyone else!

    Last night at a store in Notts all varieties of this were priced on the shelf at £10.xx but went through the till at £8.65. Either the £10.xx was an old label or the £10.xx would have come into effect at midnight and would be today's price. :D
    there is my receipt so you guys can see how much i paid for the surf

    I'm not sure he will be too sympathetic reading that you were planning the next days shop. Why would you need the pricechecker to do that, you can plan your shopping from the website. It could look like you were deliberately looking for more expensive items to buy. It might be better worded that you were checking the pricechecker after shopping to get an idea how it compared. Just thinking of what would get a better response.

    p.s. not criticising you for checking the prices first, it's exactly what I've been doing but I won't be telling tesco's that's what I've been doing

    I did think of this but i was honest because thats what i want from them, i never said i was going to buy only the more expensive items, but even if i had, there is nothing in their T&Cs that makes this wrong, for alll he knows i was browsing it whilst making my shoppin list!

    couldn't you use it before your shop to find cheaper items (don't let on you know about DTD though)? don't see the problem

    Please can someone help me. I bought the baileys on Thurs am when it was £19.19 and my receipt shows this. however, had price check voucher back and this is not included. I bought it for my Nan so will be a chunk out of her pension:o. Also on another shop that day I bought the lurpak but this has come back as n/a. Am really cafuddled now and not sure weather to phone customer services (but don't want to draw attention for all of you) or if i was to take it to store what do I have to say for them to take it back?:( xx

    Thanks a lot for this!
    So the theory is that for any item you buy at Tesco that is sold cheaper at Asda, you get twice the difference back as a Tesco voucher? But this doesn't seem to be the case all the time?
