anyone tried this and know how it works?
do you have to return the whole bottle to the store with the reciept?
    Bottle being Ariel Stain Remover Gel;

Nooo, you complete a small survey, print it out, and post your receipt with the survey and they'll refund you the £4.58 (probably plus 35p or whatever it is for the stamp too):money:
I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing! ;)
    Quidco and Topcashback, £4,569
    Shopandscan, £2,840
    Tesco Double The Difference, £2,700
    Thomson EU261/04 Claim, £1,700

I was informed by two different advisors that it was working fine, when it quite clearly is not!

So do i take this to mean if you compare the prices between both supermarkets on branded items they honour them all as before it was just if they appeared on price checker,:D

I really wouldn't bank on it. Look at it as a gamble... if something comes up N/F when it is clearly on both websites there have been reports of success where people have rang CS and got a result.
So basically, if you get your voucher and there is something on there that came up N/F and it is blatantly available on both Tesco.com & Asda.com you have 3 choices as I see it....
Attempt to return item for refund,
Ring CS and point out their "error" and cross your fingers,
or just absorb it cause you've still got such a good deal ;)
I'd probably go with the latter cause it's less hassle but it depends on the value of the item ;)

As posted by JAG also I took this as a yes.

Tesco say they check the prices of ASDA products using the ASDA.com website, so as long as you check the prices on the ASDA website and they are cheaper than the Tesco price for the exact same product on the day your purchased it, then you should get DTD.

Just means a bit more work checking the prices on both Tesco and ASDA websites.

I'm a bit confused about this whole pricechecker thing. Do they not do DTD for anything you buy that's more expensive? ie do they have set items that they do DTD for and not anything else? Is it only Asda they compare with? And are they only doing this unitl a set date or is it ongoing? Thankyou for any help!

i posted a question on PTS asking where the threads had gone and my question was deleted!!

also someone started a new thread asking what was going on with the deleted threads and seconds later that was deleted as well!!

Someone mentioned earlier that only coupons up to the value of £9.99 can be redeemed at SS. Not sure if that is the case with all stores.

Yes that just happened with me, I got moved to a manned till, but I have ended up with 2 different receipts for the same shopping both with different numbers at the bottom!

    Dear Phillip,

I have contacted customer services a couple of times with no avail, and i was advised that you may be able to help me. I have been on your price cheker website (the individual price checker that allows you to see what prices Tescos are comparing with Asda) and was on it yesterday evening, however whilst in the middle of looking for my items to shop for today, the price checker went offline and is still offline at the time of this email.

Now whilst i can understand that there may be an error with the system or it may need updating etc. i have contacted customer services and they have replied twice with a reply that the price checker is working fine and can they help me by checking a product for me. Aso the front page of the price checker no longer incudes the individual checker only the receipt checker.

I think this is unfair behaviour on the part of Tesco as customers have the right to see what products are currently being checked as part of the promotion and which items are ineligable. Without this we (as customers) have no guarentee that you will hold true to your word and wil compare ALL possible products. Even now there is talk about some individuals getting products matched and others that were told the item was N/F.

Could you please inform me of a reason this site is not working and if you feel you are deceiving customers by removing it.

I'm not sure he will be too sympathetic reading that you were planning the next days shop. Why would you need the pricechecker to do that, you can plan your shopping from the website. It could look like you were deliberately looking for more expensive items to buy. It might be better worded that you were checking the pricechecker after shopping to get an idea how it compared. Just thinking of what would get a better response.

p.s. not criticising you for checking the prices first, it's exactly what I've been doing but I won't be telling tesco's that's what I've been doing
