They could just have a backlog of claims.

I wouldn't be that surprised to see the Ts & Cs revised and that only vouchers with a valid Clubcard will be checked. Whether or not their current set of tills can handle checking to see whether or not people are defrauding them remains to be seen.
It's not surprising really, it was only a matter of time before they revised the t&c's.
I'm just surprised it took them so long.
However they can't just pull the promotion, too much money has gone into it and it would leave Tesco looking rather foolish.0 -
My opinion for what it's worth.
I can't believe for a second that Tesco have suddenly realised that they have made a mistake. This promotion wasn't just thought up by any Tom, !!!!!! or Harry. This would've been carefully thought out by people who are paid a lot of money to come up with ideas. It would have been run past many people right at the top of Tescos, every possibility of what could happen would have been explored. They would be fully aware of us- the savvy shopppers and the other sites out there who are all looking to get a bargain.
I know these giants sometimes look like they don't know what they are doing but they know exactly what they are doing, they may underestimate just how popular a promotion is going to be but I find that hard to believe.
I wouldn't worry too much about it. Someone has probably been drinking too much Baileys and has fallen asleep instead of updating the pricecheker site!0 -
Its more likely that they are purposely leaving it as long as possible to stop people using vouchers every day.0

Linda Mc Cartney 6 vegetarian sausages 300g £1.83 T £1 A
don't know what they're like but am on a diet so thought they may be heathier than meat ones and if free nothing lost
BUT only buy ONE as web shows MrT as being bogof even though my store had no such signs up!0 -
One to note in the t&c's
We have the right to withdraw the Tesco Price Check at any time without notice
Ok, i knew that, but i was saying that they have noticed people taking advantage and have now pulled the offer, also that without the pricechecker website nobody has a leg to stand on anymore!0 -
The tesco price checker thing was quite rubbish. They should have just used mysupermarket. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
