Tesco/Asda pricechecker finds here.......

i agree and if they have spies following the thread know we are relying on the price checker to fleece them
so if you have a voucher you won't want to use it yet
delay in sending out vouchers means we are all sat in front of our laptops swaeting and not shopping!!
double shot in the foot for Mr T:
1.send us the vouchers-we shop with you but fleece you
2.don't send us the vouchers no way i will be shopping in tesco again
(rip off prices has taken on a whole new meaning)
i guess pulling the price checker down is the quickest way of mr T putting a halt to proceddings while he decides what his next move is........
I would argue they are as you say "fleeecing" the millions of ordinary shoppers who for whatever reason dont check the prices and end up paying upto 150% more than the price in Asda.0 -

Just had a check on the website and still not working, term and cons say
- We have the right to withdraw the Tesco Price Check at any time without notice.
- Where we suspect that any false or fraudulent claim is being made, we reserve the right to withhold and/or refuse payment.
I shopped before the checker went down and the price check is still available so fingers crossed:mad:To get to Disneyland Florida 20160 -
Tis true, but they know we have been checking their website for comparable more expensive items, they said they were 'confident that our prices are cheaper' and were not expecting to give out vouchers for £100. It makes sense for them to do it, and it does not make it impossible to find the cheaper items in asda but there is now no guarentee that they have to honour it.
One to note in the t&c's
We have the right to withdraw the Tesco Price Check at any time without notice0 -
Because its based on Tesco's price check.0 -
Is it just my imagination or is the bit about fradulent etc a new term? Can't remember it from before??!0

Wonder if Tesco have realized that they have shot themselves in the foot with this one.
They surely have realised it's costing them more than expected. :j
But don't worry, they can afford it - I used to work for a Tesco supplier, and had the pleasure of working with T on a number of promotions. T usually do not give you any discounts, the discounts come from their suppliers, T only pay for the marketing. So I guess this is one of very few instances where they have to reach into their pockets to fund a promotion - and ASDA are just winding them up with their price rollbacks.
When I spoke to their dot com manager earlier today he sounded very stressed, and admitted there are problems with the price check data (most likely outsourced), and that they are running well behind schedule.
Fingers crossed, hope to get my vouchers ready for tomorrow morning."Retail is for suckers"

I can't believe that I'm actually going around Tesco buying items that are much higher than elsewhere. Leaving Buy 1 Get One Free items on the shelves. My brain has really got issues with this................:rotfl:
