What you just said made NO sense? :p If you paid 2.00 and got 2.00 back it was FREE!
Because idve only paid £1 in Asda but i paid £2 in tesco. so i spent £1 more to start with. So £2 initital outlay - £1 i would have saved an Asda = £1 saved via a DTD voucher. Although the DTD voucher is £2!
  • Shadow Jam, please remove the offending post, that is absolute madness to put that on an open to all forum. Jeez. And if anyone has quoted that post could they also edit their posts, please.

Yes but you spent a pound and got a voucher back for 2 pounds so they have given you your pound back plus another one!!!! You are in effect, doubling your money!!! :rotfl:

Asda would not be giving you back you initial £1 would they. Tesc give you it back twice so making it free

Or it's simply you've got your item for free. You have paid net nil, you have the item. End of.

    :)

Exactly i had to spend the £1 more to get my original £1 back and then another £1. Im not disputing its a good deal. Its just a another tesco deal that sounds better than it really is. Spend a £1 more (for example) buying our overpriced products and well give you the difference back. Theve just worded it differently as always

I understand what you are saying

    Item X Tesco £2 / Asda £1
    Item Y Tesco £2 / Asda £2

So you go to Tesco and buy item X for £2 then get a DTD voucher back for £2, which you use to purchase item Y, which is the same price as Asda:
    Tesco outlay £2 and got items X & Y

Or, you go to Asda and pay £1 for item X & £2 for item Y:
    Asda outlay £3 and got items X & Y

The difference between them is only £1

This however can be made better if you do consecutive DTD shops which give a voucher for <£50 which you then use on your next DTD shop ;)
