    Afternoon,

I found a link that someone else posted the other day quite good which showed Tesco and Asda prices and the saving (pricecheck.logicalinternetsolutions) does this get updated too? Or does anyone know of the best offers.

    Thanks for your help.

Exactly i had to spend the £1 more to get my original £1 back and then another £1. Im not disputing its a good deal. Its just a another tesco deal that sounds better than it really is. Spend a £1 more (for example) buying our overpriced products and well give you the difference back. Theve just worded it differently as always

I dont know why we are trying to talk you round for to be honest, as it leaves more items for us at Tesco. I have an £81 voucher (for a £26 outlay from Sunday) which I shall be using after work tonight to get a week's shopping for nothing. Zilch. Nada. Nil. You carry on shopping at Asda m8!!!

Well I went back and got 6 bottles of the La Gioiosa pinot grigio and 6 bottles of Jacobs Creek Rose Shiraz, I just hope I get the DTD back or I have spent rather a lot on wine today!

For us, we spend £50 at Tesco every week. I'm conditioned to shop for the bargains and stock up on certain things when they become available. I find Tesco to be the cheapest for the way I shop. Many of their deals tend to be on things I want, and are better deals than at Asda in my opinion.

So I went in and spent £50 on goods that were priced about double that of Asda that I knew we could use - olive oil, Baileys, etc. So I get that stuff and a £50 voucher, which I'll use towards the normal shop. So I've got £25s worth of free stuff (at Asda prices). They are not things I would have normally bought, obviously. I would have been mortified if my shopping money only went as far as the £50 I spent earlier this week.

So for the people that get £100 worth of vouchers this month, if they work it properly then they could have also acquired themselves goods that would cost £50 at Asda. It's not bad at all. They are giving away free stuff effectively, and a lot of it!

Personally, I won't be going over the £100 per month. I am more than happy that Tesco are prepared to give me £50 worth of goods by having massively inflated prices on a few things, and that they are prepared to give me money to take them off their hands. The more people that fiddle it, the quicker it will be over.

I didnt say i didnt like it did i ? Im not disputing its a good deal am i ? Im just saying the wording of tesco is a bit misrepresentative. Contrary to your post i have done a DTD shop and am awaiting my email. I just wont be going mad thinking ive saved £2 for example when ive really just saved a £1.
  • Last of my daft questions (i think)

Say tesco has something that is £1 each and so does asda but asda are doing 2 for £1.50, would they honour a multi buy saving? Just covering all bases.
I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.

Hi guys, new poster here but been following for a few days. I don't know if this is a problem but today i got my reciept signed for with the valid print off voucher AND my new reciept. All it is a signature at the top of the receipt of which i aim to claim dtd on. What's going on,are they allowed to and would it invalidate the new voucher as it wouldn't have been scanned yet so maybe i have some leway here.
Just a heads up because i went to diff store and they didn't sign the NEW reciept but did point out on the old reciept that store checker was used.

Right so are the new updated prices now going to be how we stand tomorrow afternoon or is it likely to change again?

I'm wondering if it is worth me having a quick scan through for deals or whether Mr A is likely to change the prices between now and then?
