Just had my first DTD voucher through for £42.68 fom a £44.43 spend! Yay. I want to go and buy more DTD items with it but feel really scared that the cs assistant will question me, call over the manager and generally make a huge fuss causing me major embarassment! lol anybody else feeling like this? Paranoid or what!

So angry with myself, bought a few bits which included 6 bottles of wolf blass, she only scanned one through and stupidly i'd picked up 5 cab sav and 1 shiraz (unknowingly) which had been put in the wrong place, guess which one i put through the scanner.....

So now they have to go back for a refund which will no doubt cause mass confussion with my voucher....

Topped up to my £100 monthly limit last night with 5 boxes of Cheerios (kids eat nothing else, worth having in...).

    (2.75 - 1.68)*2*5 = £10.70 voucher just received for a 13.75 gross spend, or a 3.05 net spend = 61p a box.

    Two things:

    1. I was not thinking very clearly, forgot the difference is doubled, and actually took myself over the £100 total limit (previous buys on Banrock and other cereal). Still got the voucher about an hour ago, no subterfuge with different emails, payment cards etc - so are they enforcing the £100 limit at all? Worth another wine run?

    2. The Cheerios were actually £2.99 when I bought some on Monday on a test run. So while they came down in price close to Asda's £1.68 and reduced my expected DTD, they didn't come down much. Tesco clearly decided not to put them on promotion, just reduced a little so as to keep the profits they're making on the (higher than Asda) headline price when 'ordinary' shoppers buy them, but balance it a little with not getting overly stung by people like us who spot the anomaly and make money out of it. Must be a tricky forecasting job...

I had been hoping to stop doing this until 1st April now that I have used the £100 calendar monthly limit and get a life, but now...:o:rotfl:
  • I've just done my first DTD shop and am wondering if it works out can I go back and buy the same things again and repeat the process or can you only do it once with each set of items? I use the things I bought (pantene ice shampoo, sure deodourant, lurpak, napolina tomatoes) so would be very tempted to repeat the basket if possible?
  • I've still not had voucher for reciept submitted at 5.30 last night. Just edentates it and it said this is still processing. Worried now :(

My friend and I went shopping at the same time last night and bought virtually the same stuff... my friend put in the details as soon as we got back to his house, then I put mine in about an hour later when I got home... I already have my voucher but he doesn't... I don't think it's anything to worry about, maybe they work backwards on the claims, maybe there is no logic, but don't panic! :)
