karlie88 and fellow money savers' FAQ section lol

can i use my DTD voucher and get a refund on the items that i bought (or vice versa)?: risky business, i personally wouldn't do it. if you return the item, it's usually marked on your receipt; this may go against you if you want to use the whole DTD voucher on your next shop.

    hth

I was just thinking about this - is when use the DTD voucher marked on the receipt too?

If not in theory you could use the DTD voucher and then return the items?

Just buy the stuff you normally would - I haven't bothered with the baileys and the bottles of wine as we don't drink - they are great for some people though so go for it, I say.

Where I would normally buy Bakers dog food - I've switched to Iams - I'm sure the dog won't mind. Where I would normally use lenor, I've switched to comfort. It's just a matter of altering what you buy, not going mad and buying everything because you can. :)

Thanks, it's bad enough tyring to sort out our normal shopping list and think of meals for the week ahead...:rotfl:

Should have put my pepsi through seperately then at least i would have got DTD...

I see cornettos are beeing bandied about, might need them soon judging by the day i've had...!:rotfl:

ok I've read most the coments on this thread so sorry for another question but once you've viewed your emailed link for the discount voucher does it expire? I have received my email but don't have a printer at home so its sitting in my in box like an unopened xmas pressie ;) I'd love to find out how much I'm getting back but don't want to expire my voucher.

no it won't expire. click on the link and it will say how much you've got. click on print voucher and you'll see the doubled amount. you can do this as many times as you like!

i will add this to the faq section

Sorry to add to the list of people asking for confirmation of their calculations but going to anyway.

I'm feeling a bit braver about this now after last nights successful DTD shop and was thinking of trying something more expensive today.

Planning to get the Jacobs Creeks Shiraz Rose x 6. Am I correct in thinking they will calculate DTD based on 6 x 8.99 not including the 5% bulk buy discount?

If so I think I should get back a voucher for ((6*8.99)-(6*5))*2 i.e. £47.88 on a spend of £51.24 so 6 bottles for £3.36 - surely that can't be right?

You are 100% correct - and double clubcard points!

AND if you have a £5 off voucher for Co-op from the news of the World, you can use that too, making them better than free. :money:
I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing! ;)

Does there have to be a minimum amount of things on the Tesco receipt for you to check?

I tried the price checker thing with an Asda receipt the other week and was told I needed at least 8 different items to check it. I actually had more, but a lot of dog treats so they seemed to have treated them as one item.

Dipped my toe in DTD with a shop of 4 items.

    1 x hula hoops 1.99 / 1.00
    1 x Pantene classic care shampoo 500ml 3.97 / 3.00
    1 x Kelloggs Variety pack 1.99 / 1.00
    1 x Bushmills original Irish whiskey 70cl 13.41 / 10.00

Shopped yesterday afternoon about 4pm. Submitted my receipt at 5.30pm and just received my voucher for DTD for 11.92 just gone 11 am. :j
I did use a different email address which's not linked to my clubcard on this occasion as I got a wee bit excited and submitted some tesco receipts I had lying around in the hope they'd come up trumps and, of course they didn't.
Wish I'd fully read all the info on this thread before jumping in head first.
Thanks to all who've shared their experience and advice.

    Karen.
