LW, please may I borrow Mr LW as a loo roll changer trainer. Especially if he can also teach me how to sort out non-working curtain cords.

And, take care of yourself LW - hope you're feeling better soon.

Bed change completed, assistance given by Mrs Dog who does not like speedy work, and who's idea of help included decluttering Mr B's slippers half way through, so they had to be restored to my idea of a safe place for slippers - on top of the wardrobe! So I can now reveal that a steady paced assisted bed change takes 13 minutes. Feel as if I need to speed that up a bit!

Made good inroads on my lists today, but need to do some catch ups from Pigpen's lists tomorrow - I have a plan - I'll let you know if it works. :D

Mrs B, I know what you mean and along with other ladies on here that have the same problem, I am the only one who can:-
    change the loo roll
    open/close curtains
    replace throws on furniture
and my pet problem, throw used tea bags in the bin - I know how many cups of tea DH has made in a day by the number of tea bags in the sink

I am amazed at how well the rooms tackled so far are behaving, the dailies do make a difference, when it comes to a 'good' clean its so much easier if you don't have all the carp to collect up first.

Just the utility room now and then the garden:j:T
    Sue
Do I need to eat it :o
    Can I afford the calories:eek:
have I checked for a lower calorie version:T

The loo roll thing, I have a DH and 2 DS's (aged 20 & 24) who sometimes know how to change the loo roll but sometimes forget.
They also seem to think that bathrooms are self cleaning, I tried to leave it once to see if anyone got fed up with the mess and cleaned up but they could not have seen it, so after a week I could no longer stand it and had to do it myself

    Making it count

Even if you think there's not enough time to finish, get started. Getting started is better than getting nothing. The wasted and idle moments in your life add up. If you always have something ready to do with them, they can add up to great value in your life.
It would be nice to have all the time in the world to get the job done. But then, of course, you'd probably procrastinate, knowing how very much time you had.
In fact, the limits on your time are really a blessing in disguise. Those limits motivate you to use your time in the ways that are most meaningful and valuable.
Today is filled with time, but it's quickly being used up. There's nothing you can do to stop it, but there's a great deal you can do to make it count.
Precious time is coming to you right now. With your thoughts, actions, feelings and words, you can transform it all into lasting value.

Thanks crafty. I've been doing LOTS of procrastinating (you know... so much to do you can't deal with any of it...) but last night I sat down and made a list of what I need to do today.

One load of washing is in, and I'm logged into the laptop to do the stuff that requires email acces while I have breakfast. Its sunny here (hard frost, but still sunny) so I intend to punctutate my day of housework with walks to the bottle bank and a bit of gardening. This evening I will have a go at some of the paperwork that is outstanding. Hopefully I can get some control back before I leave for my travels next week...

Well it's my hen-do today, so after Moon's tidying yesterday, there isn't too much to do in terms of flying, but I've still got some decluttering to do. I'm having a beautician come over to my house during the day, then pizza and DVDs in the evening. I've also got to prepare all of the crudites for the dips and strawberries so my Mum can eat something sweet that's not so high in sugar (diabetic) as she won't be able to eat the brownie bites etc.

So, I'm off to rally Moon to tidy the last bit of the study before he heads to work, so that I can close the door on it, as some treatments will happen upstairs in the spare room. Then I'm into the shower and off to get milk and cash.

Hope everyone has a lovely day.

Morning. Been pottering around doing some low level flying - not sure if it counts as I have no shoes on!

Currently working out how to declutter around 3 pints of full fat milk which I reckon is just about on the turn. Decluttered 1 pint into a pan and am currently in the process of making 3 farmhouse fruit cakes, but if anyone has any links to any favourite milk using recipes here, that would be great.

In the absence of anything else I'm thinking muffins and scones - but wouldn't mind trying something different.

Shows what a rubbish week at work I've had for my 'baking' milk not to be used up in good time!

Lovely sunshine here today - windows are open and towels are out baking on the line. :)
