  • Hi all
    I'm just popping in quickly, just at my Mum's waiting for her neighbour to get back as she is watching the boys for me while I go to Grandad's funeral.

    I am rather pleased with myself today, I have;
    *dried 1 load of washing, emptied dryer, folded clothes into people piles ready for putting away tonight.
    *stripped my bed and put the bedding on for a wash (forgot to hang it out beofre I left the house tho :o)
    * cleaned and hoovered the front room
    *put away last nights washing up
    *washed up the breakfast things
    *bathed the boys
    *got the baby dressed and got the eldest to get dressed within half an hour lol
    *bathed myself, done hair, make up and got dressed

    There is still a long way to go, but I'm going to get there, today is not a normal day as I am out all day but I thought I would at least crack on with things that normal people do every day without thinkin :o

    I will be on later to have a catch up, have a good day all xxx

    HHC was a bit broken up as Mum called, Tesco delivery came - various other bits and bobs which meant I couldn't get on with it all.

    Anyhow:-

    * stripped and remade our bed
    * put our bedding in WM ready to go on early tomorrow am
    * dry clothes put away/put ready for ironing
    * wet clothes hung up
    * tidied bedrooms
    * vacuumed all upstairs
    * put shopping all away

    So not a huge amount but all progress isn't it.

    Did a stupid thing as washed my 40 degrees long cardi which, I guess, is a bit fluffy with other dark stuff and loads of fluff has come out over all the other dark stuff. Going to take ages going over it with sellotape but have learned a valuable lesson :o.

    Off to do lunch for me and DS now.

    Going for an HHC in the kitchen at 12.45 if anyone wants to join me?
    DKAM, Hope your grandad's funeral goes as well as these things can.
    Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
    Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.

    Not sure who you think these 'normal people' are :D but I think you'll find that there aren't many folks who don't find it hard to fit in the housework/household management around all their other important jobs like earning a living, mothering/fathering, supporting, volunteering or managing difficult health or personal circumstances and not get overwhelmed.

    Certainly I think I can speak for most flyladies who wouldn't be here if having a list/encouragement/support/the motivation of knowing someone else is HHCing at the same time as you wasn't the only way to not get swamped by the day to day... I think you are making a great start and that was a great long list of things to have got done so far. :T

    Hello, Flyfriends.:beer:
    I'm in again; many thanks FCC for helping make the Wolf's Lair suitable for human (lupine?):D habitation.

    Jojo Tbh, I was wondering how much longer [STRIKE]The Bloke[/STRIKE] KH3 was going to last. I'd deffo have told him “sex and travel” by now, I reckon. I'm still scratching my head to try and work out how studying for a degree = being an unfit mother..... Nope, can't see it. *shruggy smilie*

    Sagaris sending “good health” vibes for your woofer. Oh, and also for Dogbot, Happierdays.

    Hoping all the poorly DSs and DDs feel better soon, too. Like Piggers I can't cope with anyone being sick, so I do feel for those of you having to clean up behind poorlies.

    Well done to the young Sockdrawers.:T

    Mumof2 your post about DS being on the loo reminded me of a cartoon I saw years and years ago, when I was working in the office at a building firm.... it showed 2 toddlers on their respective potties, and one saying to t'other “It's not the job itself that gets me down, it's all the darned paperwork afterwards!”:rotfl:

    Some of today's list is already done, as is a WM load (outside in the sunshine at the mo), so I think I'll try for a HHC at 13:00. Whether I manage a whole HH remains to be seen, but I can at least try.;)
    If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    :rotfl: I think I need that cartoon!

    Passport just arrived, should I run off to sunnier or climes or just crack on with the list....

    Suppose I'll go do some more WM shuffle and then get on with the kitchen.
