I thought "the new compromise" was that everything was going back to how it was before all this, and now we've been told what a regular is (shame it took all this nastyness for that to happen) that should work

Back how it was could/should include a sticky at least for monthlies that are monthlies as defined by divadee above?

With ppd maintaining the thread if it comes back and she still wants to.....

I no longer have any idea what is going on, what has been decided or if there are any changes.

I thought I'd gone to sleep and woken in a parallel universe

I think from Diva's post just over the page, she found a few more monthly's that had been left on reg by mistake and thought they were to stay, and made a new sticky in error. I'm sure when she gets back from work it will be explained that nowt's changed from yesterday's relative calm, she did say in the post that she'd made a mistake.

i thought i had made it clear obviously not lol.

someone is working on copying all the monthly posts left over on regs today for me, so by tonight the sticky will be gone and calm will hopefully be restored lol

Its not the monthlies that im confused about, since Glad posted up the new 'rule' there have been heated discussions, suggestions made, kind of agreed on and all of a sudden nobody is saying anything, no rules have been changed/updated or to be honest even stayed the same.
I dont know if a comp i used to post can be posted again, and some others that i enter from the daily board can now be posted on the main board, and to be honest, im scared to post any in case i set the whole argument again.

Do we have rules or not - im agreeing with One-eye at the moment, there are no rules!

way i'm still reading it is we still all post a comp with ending date on main board first,
then add a link to weeklies/whatever,
add guessedenddate if not sure of end date,
add title blog/twitter/facebook/effort/whatever in title,
postals/texts go in thier own thread,
puzzler/tab monthlies in thier own threads,
& E: 99/99 for the ones that are in the odd ones out,

if i'm reading it wrong still, sorry,
but seems to be the way most want & is simple (even for me :rotfl:to follow :rotfl:

Thats what i thought too Would be nice if we could just get some confirmation, and then the sticky updated (because thats not what is there at the moment!)

E: 99/99 was only a suggestion for a fudge to deal with ongoing promotions with no end date if we were going to scrap the regs board totally and have these on the main board in a single thread (which looked possible at one time). As monthlies are now individual posts and ongoing dailies / weeklies can either (a) stay on regs or (b) get broken down into monthly / weekly chunks with an appropriate real end date or (c) be posted individually (crazy idea for dailies) then the idea is redundant.

It isn't a particularly good idea anyway and I never really liked it.
