I am merely contesting the point, that some people seem to think that because Grattans are honouring the deal they must still be making loads of money.

There is nothing wrong in voicing a different opinion and one that is based on knowledge of the retail industry not the logic of "Oh well, if they're still selling them, they must be raking it in".

Everybody is quick to complain when a company says "tough luck you ain't getting them". Don't assume because a company honours its mistake it is only doing it for the cash.

They may be honouring the mistake in the hope that the new customers that they have drummed up will place further/future orders

Surely if it's not the one you ordered you can send it back and wait for the e900 to come in stock.

Who cares about grattans and what they are or are not making?They are doing it to get new customers,it's obvious.There is no way they can be making any money off this deal.But now i have all my phones i have read through their catalog they sent me and now realise that they are a lot cheaper than a few of the other catalog companies.They will be the only ones i will be using from now on.:)

Moral.I get to sell my phones,i get the phone i wanted for my daughter for Christmas for free.They get all my orders from now on and make the money back from me what they lost on this deal.But why are you so concerned about them?

I ordered mine on wednesday,i saw the parcel net van arriving, and i thought, great, my phones here, but the package only contained a welcome pack and a autumn/winter 2006 catalogue, nothing about my phone???
Has anyone had this?

Just been on the phone to them and been told that they are not sending the phone out to anyone at the £99.99 price. They say everyone will be paying the full price!
I have been a grattan and freemans customer for years and will now cancel both my accounts.
They also said no one who ordered after the 20th of november has received phones!!!!


I pointed out that I knew people who had opened accounts just to get the phone had already got their order and I had been a good customer for years but was just told that they wouldn't discuss other accounts!
