Glad you are feeling better Flutterby, I waited to read it until I had eaten :rotfl: Rinse it out with salt water to clean and sterilise it. xx

    Afternoon all :)

I'm so excited, the OH is currently on a plane, on the way home and will arrive tomorrow morning in Manchester airport at 06:15  I can't wait. He's been gone for 5 weeks and so much hs happened since he left. The only down side is that because the company messed up his flights, he's had to pay fpr his own ticket home, but they've said they'll refund him when he sends his invoce in (that means they'll pay him for the ticket in April/May sometime ).

Nevermind, t least he'll be home. And as I've got until Weds off, I'll actually get to see him :D

Back to OS. Today will be spent tidying and cleaning, I have a friend coming over this evening so sausage something for dinner, and apart from that nothing much else. I've been out shopping for food for the OH as I don't eat much when he's not around, and while I was out managed to pick up a gorgeous pair of military style boots. They should have benn £80, but they were on sale, and further reduced at the till, so only cost £35 :p I'll be wearing them to my friend's wedding next weekend as it's an informal do and being held in a field.......

That's it really, nothing more to tell. I passed my intensive sign language course so I can now at least communicate with my patients, and I'm put onto the next Level 1 course as soon as possible.

    Today life's looking good.

Hope everyone's ok and have a great weekend.

    T xx

    Afternoon all.

I'm actively avoiding doing a piece of work which needs done for tomorrow morning at 8.00a.m. :o I keep looking at it and doing something else. :p

Breakfast has been bacon and eggs - JGlasgow, good to hear that the LC is working for you, it is a sort of miracle.

FB - glad to hear your abcess has burst, hope you didn't swallow any of the pus.:rotfl:

Had some carrot soup with ham bits in for lunch, with some sour cream and chives on top. Could eat it again it was so lovely.

I was meant to drive up to Glasgow yesterday for a very quick trip to sort out some gadget issues my mum has but I cried off after looking at the weather forecast. And jolly glad I am too - she has reported enough snow to keep her indoors.

Washing up to date; no ironing to do; dishwasher chugging away so I had better knuckle down to the work <deep sigh>.

For evening meal I'm trying a LC recipe from the latest Sainsbury's magazine - chicken with a paste of red peppers, almonds, onion, tomato and chilli. Paste already made and stored in the fridge so it'll be easy peasy later on.

    Happy rest of Saturday everyone.

    Hya all,
Not only did the 3 DGSs have breakfast but they have also had a pizza each (lunch not staggered but all at the same time.)
I thought they could wait until dinner but DH thought they needed feeding - he was right!!
Dinner will be in about 2 hours so we'll see if they really have hollow legs - I'd put money on them being able to pack away a goodly amount!
Hope your Saturday is going well, Silver x

up at 5.00am every weekday. Am I asking too much for him to spend some time talking to me rather than horizontal on the sofa. Most evenings he is asleep by 8.30 to 9.00pm.

Rant over os today washing done and on line. Hob & oven cleaned. Clothes taken off airer & put away. Cleaned kitchen & dining table. Dog has also been walked for over an hour.

We are out tonight for a quiz night, dsil is watching ds2, this will be the 2nd time we have been out just the two of us since July last year. It will be a nice change.

Flutterby - yuk re abcess, hope you feel better soon.

Flutterby - Better out than in I say ;) Hope it means you'll recover quicker x

JackieG - It snowed the day I was born so not suprised you've had more of the white stuff. Hope it doesn't linger too long.

Butterflybrain - I am in awe of anyone who copes with this amount of limited movement. Never realised how much I rely on my wrists! H is going the same way too so lord only knows how he'll moan when he gets to my stage  Will try the cold water see if it helps x

topsy - Hugs for you. Hope you can make it up with your H. OK 7pm does seem a wee bit early for falling asleep but then again getting up at 5am is a bit of a killer. Perhaps he'd had an extra busy week xx
