    Morning all

Overcast and dull here this morning. DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock. Had awful night, just couldn't sleep so went to bed at midnight, got up at 1.30am watched tv had a hot drink and was still awake downstairs when DH got up to go to work, but I did then go back to bed and slept until 7.45am, so am expecting to feel rubbish later. Brain just couldn't switch off, didn't even feel remotely tired.

Managed to get a reasonable amount done again yesterday, made 2 doz choc cupcakes, 1 doz jam tarts and a bakewell tart. Went over to my sisters when children finished school yesterday as it's her birthday today and they are off out later, so had a coffee and a chat. Will be making choc chip cookies and possibly something else this morning. Dinner last night was kievs for DH and boys and I had fish and jacket potato. Tonight they have a large chicken pie to share with mash, peas and gravy. I'll be having fish (I absolutely love fish and have some that needs using up) either jacket or new potatoes and veg/salad.

Boys both have rugby matches tomorrow, one at home and one away. Once they are finished we're going over to visit my friend who has just moved house and she's cooking us all a late lunch, will be lovely as I get to play with her 1 year old daughter.

Best get myself into gear or nothing will get done. Have a good weekend everyone.

Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Warning TMI moment (do not highlight and read the following if u don't like yucky things!)

Well it's burst! cue mass panic from me to run to bathroom and spit it all out. I cleaned it with hot water and cotton buds, and have rinsed with warmed salt water to clean it. Fingers crossed it will be ok! And I feel even better now!

Been MIA because of catching up on the washing mountain.
I watched as the terrible events unfolded in Japan all day yesterday - my heart goes out to them, it just goes to show that no matter how much you prepare the power of nature always gets the upper hand. But if they hadn't been so prepared the death toll would have been a lot lot higher.

Bitsy my hands are bad today as well it is very painful to type at the moment and my fingers look more like sausages. I find putting them in cold water sometimes helps the swelling to go down x

Plans for today are to go to ikea for a mooch round their sale.

    Have good days all x

    Morning All,

Good night out with friends last night(the ones who split up recently) they seem to be trying really hard to sort things out. It was different but good iykwim. Fingers crossed for them.
I managed to stick with Low GI for most of the meal so pleased with that. When they brought the bread basket round and I said no thankyou every one looked at me in amazement:eek: I always used to be a bread monster.
Out tonight with DSS and his wife, who are expcting a little one in June although it is a tea time meal and will be taking our little one (14 and six foot:eek:) so should be home mid evening. Honestly I am such a home body.

So no meal to prepare but our usual Saturday morning clean. DH is making bacon and eggs

Both boys still fast asleep. Need to pull out a leg of lamb for lunch tomorrow as DD and BF and DGS are coming for lunch. Also going to make a chocolate orange fudge cake at my DH request. He has asked that I don't send what's left home with them:cool: will have to make some biscuits they can take as I don't like to send them home empty handed.

Anyway enough waffling for me, off to tackle mount washmore. Have a good day everyone, and hugs to the poorlies J x

Morning all! Off to daughter's football match in a mo, then home to get busy! A big clean up, washing and a trip to the tip is planned for later, and if the nice weather holds then we may even get out in the garden for an hour. Daughter's friends are staying, and I've told them that they can do a 'Masterchef' competition (yes, I know, I'm mad!) so need to pop to Sainsbury's for packs of Basics instant whip and the like. I have told them it's puddings only and that there's no using the oven! I predict chaos, and MUCH hysterical giggling! Have a good day all!
